Asbury Chapel UMC is a United Methodist Church currently serving the areas of Rockwood, Harriman, Kingston, and the surrounding areas. We believe it is our calling to make more and better disciples of Jesus Christ, and are committed to assisting God through the power of the Holy Spirit to pursue Christ's mission in the world. While the church has been around for quite some time, we are looking now

to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ and hope you will join us. When we say you are welcome regardless of who you are, where you're from, etc., we truly mean it. Come join us as we seek to love God and neighbor and become imitators of Christ for His glory.

Asbury Chapel is having our Trunk ‘R Treat on October 31, 5-7 pm at 1717 Eureka Road in Rockwood. Bring your children for a safe and fun Halloween. All children are welcome. See you there!

Asbury Chapel will hold a yard sale inside the family life center on Friday and Saturday, September 30-October 1, 2022 from 8 am to 2 pm. We are located at 1717 Eureka Road in Rockwood. A huge selection of autumn and Christmas items are available. We’ll also have some furniture along with miscellaneous items. A hot dog and chili lunch will be available for purchase along with baked goods.

Due to several illnesses in the congregation, church services will be canceled Sunday, August 7 2022. Pastor Steve and Sherry both have COVID. Please remember our church family in your prayers.

Tuesday Bible Study will begin on April 5 at 6:00 pm at Asbury Chapel UMC. The subject of our 6-part study is The Passion Play (Living the Story of Christ’s Last Days) and recognize your place in the passion of Jesus. Pastor Steve Parker will be leading our Bible Study. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Our Maundy Thursday service will be April 14 at 6:30 pm. This is a service which commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ. The service will include Holy Communion.

Our Easter service will be April 17 at 10:00 am. Everyone is welcome to attend any or all of these services. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

The audio of our Sunday services is available in the church parking lot via car radio as well as in person in the sanctuary.

We’ve just entered the season of Advent. We, at Asbury Chapel United Methodist Church, invite everyone to join us in our weekly Advent worship services every Sunday at 10 am. A special Christmas Eve Candlelight service will be held on Friday, December 24th at 4 pm. We look forward to sharing the special message of the season with all members and visitors.

Asbury Chapel Methodist Church will hold a Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 30 from 5-7 pm at 1717 Eureka Road in Rockwood. CDC guidelines will be observed in giving out the candy. All children are welcome.
