There are a lot of Christian and deconstruction
"influencer" accounts that have been posting about what the Scriptures say and how Jesus would react to recent events.

The issue is that, while nearly all of these accounts are using Scripture, the questions you have to ask are a bit more complex.

Whenever you come across a post where Scripture is used, make sure you read that Scripture in context. Ask whether the Scripture was used correctly and whether the principle being applied fits the text. Additionally, ask whether any other Scripture speaks to the same principle and how it is applied within that text. Lastly, ask whether what is being said is in line with the gospel of Christ.

To break it down more digestibly:
1. Are the verses being interpreted correctly?

2. Is the application drawn from proper interpretation the same as what they are saying?

3. Is the historical gospel of Christ properly presented? If so, is it being used rightly, or is it being twisted?

Don't take someone's word, even mine, as right without running it through the Word of God.

There are many convincing arguments built on emotion or political rhetoric arguments meant to simply win you over, not make you holy.

Slow down. Discern biblically. Pray diligently.
