Check your motives and change.

NOW & THEN

For what it’s worth, your still not-humble-enough servant will be preaching and celebrating and teaching youth catechesis this Lord’s day at St Benedict’s Anglican Church.

Not only is it the patronal Feast of St Benedict of Nursia, it is also the anniversary of our last worship service at Christ Covenant Church (PCA) a mere 7 yrs ago before she dissolved. “Best job I ever had…” (IYKYK)

Moreover, the fourth Sunday in October is the anniversary of my first Sunday as the preaching minister of the Allen Church of Christ in 1994. I was a super green 24 year old kid.

What a life! What a ride! What a gift!

It’s been a heavenuva journey.

We took turns meeting at each other’s places, grilling meats, and sharing adul...

True, Good, Beautiful

I’m at Synod with the Diocese of Mid-America (REC) this week.

Not tryna start a flame war (yet) 🙂, but I truly wish all you family, friends, and folks were in the REC with me, for all the typical reasons:

eg, holy order of bishops, priests, deacons, the liturgy, sacraments, truth, beauty, fullness, based spirituality, mystery, prayer, mission, the order of deaconess,

and much much more.
