Last night, the Whisnants shared the fall mission focus for Compass Kids and Team Howard! Our students will be partnering with Kindred and Foster Village DFW to collect backpacks and essentials for children entering foster homes.

We don’t want to stop there; our whole church body can join in! Visit the Kindred table between services this weekend to choose an item, pick up a full backpack shopping list, or give toward supplies. We’re collecting now through Stand Sunday, November 8!

Brian Thompson Kids Ministry Worship - 

“I am blessed to serve alongside my wife Amy in Crosspoint Kids Ministry as the Worship Lead. God has used me in various servant and leadership roles in ministry for 20+ years and worship ministry was a place early on where He taught me to serve rather than perform. That distinction has shaped the way I approach ministry. I am passionate about calling people into participation, both in worship and in serving the body of Christ. We have that opportunity every week in Kids Ministry, to help our youngest worshipers actively participate, learn who God is, respond to Him, and begin to see worship as a way of life!”

Anna Walker, Administrative Lead —

“I’m grateful to serve in Kids Ministry at Crosspoint by helping with volunteer scheduling and event registrations. As a school-based speech-language pathologist, I love being able to use both my administrative and organizational skills, along with my passion for working with children, to support the ministry and serve families well.
My husband and I have been married for 8 years, and we have two children, Benton and Lainey. We’ve attended Crosspoint since we got married and are so thankful for the community we’ve found there. Our faith has grown so much over the years, and we’re grateful to be continually encouraged and reminded of the Gospel each week.“

Meet part of our Compass Kid’s Team! 🎉

Chandler Moreau Teaching Team Lead -

“I come from a large family and grew up in the Rockwall area. I’ve been involved in church since I was a child, even playing the drums on the worship team at the age of 10yo. I graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 2015 with my BS in Elementary Education, and I have been working in Education for the past 11 years. I married my high school sweetheart, Nia (who serves in MDWK), and together, we have two amazing kids, Mya and Lena. During college, I had the opportunity to serve as a youth leader, which grew my passion for investing in the next generation. I truly love being part of Crosspoint and what God is doing here, and I’m excited to be going into my third year serving in the Wednesday night kids ministry, helping kids learn about Jesus and grow in their faith.”

This week in Compass Kids, Pastor Ky taught us about Jacob and Esau from Genesis 25 and 27. Even through imperfect people and difficult circumstances, God’s promises continued and nothing was outside of His good plan.

Who is in control of everything? God is in control of everything in heaven and on earth! Through Jacob’s family, God would one day send the promised Savior to bring blessing and salvation to the world.

What a joy it is to watch parents commit themselves to be the disciple-makers of their homes.

Last Sunday, we celebrated and prayed for 13 families who have chosen to make God known to their children. As a church, we are committed to supporting these parents through prayer, encouragement, and equipping.
