“When Sunday comes...

Your pastors will be standing in front of churches that are totally empty. (or small groups) Preaching to a room of chairs.

Carrying the weight of their congregations on their shoulders. Wondering how everyone is doing. Wondering what this is going to look like on the other side.

Wondering how the finances are going to fare in light of all this.

So,
When Sunday comes...

Jump on livestream. Don’t watch later cause you’ve got all day. Be on time! Participate in it as it’s happening.

Have your pastors back. Pray when prayer is happening. . Worship alongside the worship leader.

Be present and be engaged. Let him know you’re watching by commenting and sharing.

It’s going to be weird, maybe uncomfortable, for pastors everywhere.

Be faithful to your church. I know your newsfeed will be flooded with live-streams from countless churches, but please be faithful to your church if they have livestream available. You can watch the others later.

Finally, be sure and give!

Your church still has a budget to meet, bills to pay. Your pastor is still working.

Mail in your tithes and offerings to your church. Whatever ways are available to you to give, please do so.

Pastors carry the weight of church finances on their shoulders. It can be a heavy load in good times.

But even more so in tough times. Be faithful in tithes and offerings. Keep supporting missions.

Until Sunday comes...

Be in focused prayer and intercession. For your pastor and his lonely Sunday gathering.

For your city. For your nation. And for the nations of the world.”

I am a Christian. I believe in the Jesus Christ of the Bible. The One who was and is the Great I Am. The One who was foretold by all the prophets prior to his coming in the flesh, born as a helpless babe in a lowly manger. The One who grew up and waxed strong in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man. The One who began his ministry at around the age of 30, who gave the blind their sight, who made the lame to walk, who raised the dead. The One who chose twelve disciples and ordained them to be Apostles. The One who suffered and bled from every pore as he took upon himself the sins of all mankind in the Garden of Gethsemane. The One who was taken, and mocked, and spat upon, and who spent his last night on earth being shuffled from one council of wicked men to another, to be judged of his "crimes." The One who was scourged, forced to carry the implement of his own torture and ultimate death, who was crucified and died - willingly giving up the ghost - laying down his life, for no man had the power to take it from him. The One who rose again the third day to bring forth the glorious resurrection, thereby bursting the bands of death and thwarting the plans and machinations of the Evil One. The One who completed the teaching of his Apostles, then returned to stand at the right hand of his Eternal Father with his perfected immortal body of flesh and bone. The One who LIVES! Who Lives today and forever and who seeks to bless us with his love and acceptance and the deliverance made available by his Eternal Atonement. The One to whom I look for my every blessing and gift, even the gift of life itself and the very air I breathe. Yes. I AM A CHRISTIAN!
