Pastor James shared this AM on Maintaining Your Freedom, and the absolute need for believers to experience the full freedom that is only found in Jesus Christ. Most are familiar with the passage from John 8:36 about those the Son sets free, and how they are now fully free. Often not mentioned is the previous verses, where Jesus declares the need for His listeners to HOLD onto His teaching, and then they will be able to know the truth and that truth will set them free. One of the biggest problems with believers today is they will not remain IN God's Word. We think a verse here and there, occasional attendance at a service, and some now and then songs about Jesus get us where we need to be.....which for too many is in and out of struggles and discouragement and battles that they have already been delivered out of. Galatians 5:1: STAND fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free. Standing takes effort, endurance, and purpose on our part. You will NOT remain in freedom if you refuse to remain in the Word. You will struggle if you don't stay out of the garbage. You will struggle if you don't take control your mind (and perhaps even be delivered from some negative, pessimistic, dark and stinking thinking! Take heart, though, beloved.....HE is still setting captives free!!!

Pastor James challenged us this morning asking What Do You Say? When confronted with the question of who others were saying Jesus is/was, there were a multitude of responses. Some said Jeremiah, or Elijah, or other prophets. Some said John the Baptist. I imagine this conversation could have continued unchecked for a lengthy time. Jesus' response cuts all of that short, when he asks..."who do YOU say that I am?" Inspired by Abba Father, Simon declares that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. This is the revelation that the church will be built upon (not upon the person-hood of Peter, or another). The church, and Kingdom of God, are built and continue growing when another declares that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God and confesses Him as Lord and Savior of his life (Romans 10:9-10). There is much discussion still to this day about who Jesus is (good man, good teacher, Rabbi, lunatic, liar, Lord of all Creation, etc). The answer is always still crucial at the personal level. Be challenged today in how you would answer, and what you would say.....Who Is Jesus To You? We pray that you can declare boldly that He is Your Savior and Lord, the Christ, the Son of the Living God!!

Pastor James shared this AM about Speaking in Your Sleep. We don't chase after dreams and visions, but we serve a God who will speak to His people through both dreams and visions. There are over 200 instances in Scripture of God speaking through a dream or a vision. Every dream is not from God, so operate with a discerning of spirits (or late night pizza and chili). When a church culture is so saturated with entertainment and phones and sports and activities and platform antics, we shouldn't be surprised when God waits to speak until minds and bodies are quieted down and listening. Another gentle reminder: chase the God who gives His people dreams, and not the dreams that are given. Job 33:14-18, Daniel 2:10-11, 27-28

Pastor Gregory Williams (from Cliffdale at the Lake Community Church)shared about "True Faith", teaching from the two original uses of the Hebrew terms in Scripture (Genesis 15 & Exodus 17). We see a powerful picture of how true faith is more than just a belief in something that we have read, heard, or studied. A legitimate faith is one that receives and believes (like one Hebrew word is often translated) what is read, heard, or studied, but then embraces with full and complete loyalty that truth allowing it to shape and dictate how we are living our lives. Are you walking in a complete and true faith in your life? If not, return to the Lord today, and serve Him in all that you are called to do.

Pastor James shared Intercessory Prayer, part two, today about the importance of God's people praying that the Holy Spirit will hover over situations. The Hebrew word used in Genesis 1 when the Spirit broods/hovers over the waters is "rachaph"and implies the concept of hovering or resting over a person, or a situation, until something is birthed. Think of a hen brooding over her offspring (or brood). God consistently hovers over situations in Scripture (Deuteronomy 32 cites what He has done over Israel) (Luke 1 cites how the Spirit will come upon Mary and overshadow her, which is powerfully similar). What are some situations, and some people, that you need to pray that the Holy Spirit begins to hover over, until a new thing is birthed? What does God desire to have you invite Him to hover over and see transformed? Beloved, it's time to set up some paga moments with Abba, and proclaim His hovering over people and things, until we see new birth in the Name of Jesus. Mega Blessings to you and yours.

Pastor James shared this AM part one on Intercessory Prayer. We studied the Hebrew word for "intercession", which is paga, and has several meetings. Our focus this morning was on the aspect of "meeting". We purpose to be an intercessor and we "paga", or meet, with God. Some meetings are tough and others are pleasant. What are you prepared for? The saints of God are called to come boldly before His throne, and not in a position of timidity, doubt, fear, and uncertainty. We have the victory from the work Christ did at the cross, so "paga" on behalf of your loved ones, and bring heaven down to earth to see some situations transformed and changed. So much good stuff here. Great resource for those of you that like to read: Dutch Sheets book, "Intercessory Prayer".
