Central Synagogue - Beth Emeth CSBE is a home for Progressive Judaism, led by Rabbi Aviva Bass and Cantor Eryka Velazquez. Our Synagogue is an enduring home of the Jewish spirit.

On November 18, 2016 Central Synagogue of Nassau County and Reconstructionist Congregation Beth Emeth officially consolidated, following approval from The New York State Supreme Court. As Central Synagogue – Beth Emeth (CSBE), we provide innovative religious, spiritual and cultural programming designed for congregants and community alike. As a Reconstructionist Synagogue on the South Shore of Long

Island, we are proud of the leadership role we play in the religious and civic life of Rockville Centre and the surrounding community. Many of our members have distinguished themselves in leadership in the local community as well as in the national institutions of Reform and Reconstructionist Judaism and the State of Israel. We welcome those who would join us and be counted among us. In addition, the synagogue serves as our community center, with its beautiful sanctuary, school building, meeting rooms, and library.

After today’s antisemitic attack on Jews celebrating Hanukkah in Australia, the simple act of lighting candles carries added meaning. It is a reminder that Jewish life will not be intimidated or erased.

Tonight, to show solidarity with the Australian Jewish community, we urge those celebrating Hanukkah to share a photo of your lit menorah, and we welcome and encourage allies to share a photo of a lit candle. Use when you share your photo.

Let each light be a signal of solidarity, remembrance, and an unwavering commitment to stand against anti-Jewish hate.

Roberts, along with Cantors Eryka Velazquez and Alexandra Weiser, will perform beloved Broadway show tunes, torch songs, and gems from the Great American Songbook.
