Join us on Oct 24th for a community Simchat Torah celebration. Honor those we lost last year Simchat Torah as we dance for them. Fabulous food and lots of singing & dancing. It will be fun for the whole family, you won't want to miss it!

Services will be held at Molloy University - Public Square Building, Larini Room. 1000 Hempstead Ave, Rockville Centre NY 11570

Services on Yom Kippur will be held in memory of Mr. Laibel New, Rivka's grandfather, who passed away at the age of 91, yesterday in Melbourne, Australia.

"Zaida Laibel" was a warm, generous and wonderful man. A real Aussie boy born in Melbourne in 1933, Zaida believed in a Judaism that welcomed and accepted all. He was a big influence in both our lives, he encouraged us greatly to pursue our dreams of establishing Chabad activities here. Zaida was so proud of Rivka, who is named after his mother. He generously gifted us with a Torah scroll written in his parent's honor, which we will read from on Yom Kippur.

Zaida will be missed dearly, but continue to live on through his family and ideals.

On this day, let us remember those who were brutally taken from us last year and continue our efforts to bring home those still in captivity.

And although we are in pain, we must remember:

Am Yisroel Chai!
The nation of Israel is alive. We are united as one. Together we shall persevere!

The Rebbe once said:

In hard times, one should not ask "Vos Vet Zein - What will be?" One should ask: "Vos Geit Men Ton - What are we going to do about it."

So let us think of ways that we can make a difference. Let us increase in our support for Israel, let's do more Mitzvot (good deeds) for Am Yisroel, and let's say an extra prayer. Each of us can impact ourselves, our family and the world at large.

Each of us has a spark of G-dliness within. We blow the Shofar on Rosh Hashana to awaken this spark, our Neshama. Once we are imbued with this inner strength, we are certain to have a year full of positive impact upon all those around us.

Today marks 50 years since the Chabad Rebbe launched the Neshek campaign, encouraging women and girls as young as three to light Shabbat candles.

This special mitzvah not only brings warmth and light into our homes but serves as a powerful reminder of our ability to illuminate the world, especially in times of spiritual darkness.
Let us embrace this tradition and spread its light far and wide 🔥

This Sunday is Lag Baomer, the day in which we celebrate the life of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai.
It's traditional to spend time outdoors, have a bonfire, play with bows and arrows, and of course eat 🙂
