As I scrolled through fb today and saw the many signs of addiction in the many photos which hits my heart hard…..I prayed for all those who havent faced this big battle that many are still in denial over, think they have it under control and handled, and the signs that they think they are hiding from others.
I PRAY THAT MANY FACE THE NEW YEAR WITH A NEW PERSPECTIVE because if your habits dont change….you wont have a brand new year~~~~> you will just have another year.
So for all of us especially those of us who face the challenges that recovery brings that we continue to rise above them and stay in recovery….as for me…my recovey is the most serious I take with me throughout every day because the prices I paid to get here today and walk into 2026 like a champion cost me everything and almost my life. Without my recovery~~> I AM NOTHING!!!
Therefore my 2026 words of the year are:
EXPAND & CULTIVATE: escape your addictions by being able to Expand your life and Cultivate something in your life that is worth staying present for!! I pray you find the first step of recovery: which is true honesty about yourself and what you are doing which will help remove you from all the excuses you have made yourself to continue the negative journey, the negative people places and things, and the denial that you wrap yourself in.
God bless the new year, give strength, persistence and love to all this new year and I pray that you help many see the light is just right there if they just choose to reach for it. There is always some form of support….you just have to find it in your heart to want something better for yourself. Once you give yourself the greatest gift of sobriety….it will create the most beautiful domino effect in all those who love you as well. Its a ripple effect of positivity that will flow through every aspect of your life especially relationships will grow the strongest ever!!
Thank you Lord for my strong support system that comes from those who know the broken road to get to where we are now: William Scott, Lisa Bishop, Betty Flores, Teddy Wilson still makes a difference in my life as I hear him all the time.
Thank you to those who stood by me in my worst. I hope I make you proud today because you momma are the only one who truly knows the journey and where I took our life and I can never say enough sorrys & thanks for never leaving when you should have!!
Thank you God!! For the grace and giving your only son for my sins! Thank you for everything I have today because without you I wouldn’t have recovery. Most of all, thank you every day for helping me in one way or another~~~> YOU ALWAYS COME THROUGH!!!
