Blake Sargent Ministries Sharing God's love as a Husband, a Preacher/ Evangelist,
and a Musician. I am a KJV Preacher & Musician who loves the Red Back Hymnal!

The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. Accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior in the early 90's, my Faith opened many doors as I accepted the call to Ministry in a Music Leadership role. I continued studying the Bible and learning about God’s plan for my life, doing my best to fully trust in Him. God opened the doors to follow Him by usi

ng the gift of music, including orchestras, ensembles, youth music development, and serving as the worship leader. After more than twenty (20) years in this position, I found how God had a deeper plan for my life and found the doors opened again! I was called as a Preacher January 2022. God continued to bless me as my first sermon was on the radio in Rockmart Georgia just 1 week later. Since then, God continues to provide opportunities to Preach the Word as God continues to use my talents and gifts towards music ministry opportunities in my home church.

Sunday, May 31 will be a day I won’t soon forget. When I look back over my life, I can see plenty of moments where I missed the mark; times when I was focused on myself instead of my Lord. But I can also see the unmistakable moments where God was shaping me, stretching me, and leading me out of my comfort zone.

Since accepting my call to preach 4½ years ago, I’ve tried to keep my eyes fixed on the Father and my ears tuned to His voice. This weekend, He brought me to a new milestone: standing for the first time as interim pastor of our church. I stood before our amazing church family with one message on my heart:

“Are You Ready for God?”

As I looked at the Gospel, I was reminded of something powerful. Hebrews 11 gives us the Heroes of the Faith — but when we share the Gospel with someone, and they receive the gift of salvation, we become a hero in their story. Because one day, when Revelation 20:11 becomes reality, they will be eternally grateful that someone cared enough to point them to Jesus.

- If we are ready to follow God, our church will stand strong for the next 86 years.
- If we are ready to follow God, our families will know the name of Jesus.
- If we are ready to follow God, we will stay grounded in His Word.

At Lee’s Chapel Baptist Church, we are committed to being:

Grounded in Faith - Hebrews 11:1

Guided with Fervent Love - 1 Peter 4:8

Gathered in Fellowship - Hebrews 10:25

Giving the Facts of Jesus - Matthew 28:19

And in all of this, our desire is simple: to glorify our Father in Heaven. - Psalm 150:6

There are many things about tomorrow I may not understand — but I know Who holds tomorrow, and I know Who holds my hand.

We would love for you to be part of this exciting season at Lee's Chapel Baptist Church

How many times have we truly listened?

If we’re honest, all of us struggle with selective hearing at times. When I was young, mine came from excitement—my mind was fixed on baseball, riding bikes, and getting outside. As I grew older, I realized that same selective hearing can show up when I’m focused on what I want instead of what God is saying.

In our rush through life, we often chase things we don’t need but simply desire. Scripture warns us about this clearly:

1 John 2:15–17
Colossians 3:2
Romans 12:2

And yet, we humans keep seeking the wrong things.

Over Memorial Day weekend, our church held a singing. Because of how the service flowed, I—our church pianist—ended up singing last. As I listened to each song and testimony, I began to hear that still, small voice preparing my heart for what my part would be. We don’t use an itinerary for our services; we want the Spirit to lead.

As I listened, God brought John 10:10–11 to my heart:
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”

When I followed God’s prompting, He poured out His love in our little church. Before any formal invitation, people were already coming to the altar. Our altars stay open because God doesn’t move only during three verses of a hymn—He moves when hearts are ready.

As I shared the scripture God gave me, I felt led to give an altar call. Someone needed to trust Him. We sang Amazing Grace and I’m Coming Home, and right in the middle of that sacred moment, a young woman came to Jesus.

She got saved. Praise God!

When we trust God’s voice and follow His leading, we find ourselves exactly where He wants us. I may not be much in the eyes of the world, but in God’s eyes I am loved, chosen, and His. My name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

Friend, seek God today.
Seek His voice.
Seek His love.
Seek His will for your life.

You may be amazed at what God does—and you may even witness someone you love come to Christ and have their name written in that precious Book of Life.

We often say we believe in God.
We acknowledge His power, His presence, His creation.
But when it comes to accepting His plan of salvation... His greatest gift... we hesitate.

Why?

Sometimes it’s fear.
Sometimes it’s pride.
Sometimes it’s the belief that we have more time.
Sometimes it’s the idea that we must “fix ourselves” before coming to Him.

But none of those reasons change the truth:

God is the One who offers peace, purpose, a new beginning... and salvation itself.

Ephesians 2:8 tells us plainly:
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”

A gift isn’t earned.
A gift isn’t achieved.
A gift isn’t deserved.
A gift is received.

And salvation is the one gift only God can give.

I love you. I want to see God do great things in your life! Let me know how I can pray for you.

I have decided to follow Jesus.
Some have said this with joy, and others have rejected it... but none of that changes the truth: God loves you, and He has already shown His love in ways deeper than we often realize.

He never promised a perfect life. And honestly… why would we want everything to go our way all the time? If life were that easy, we’d never grow, never learn, and never discover just how good God truly is. Growth happens in the stretching, in the trusting, in the moments when we lean on Him because we can’t stand on our own.

Psalm 24:10 {kjv}
Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

A decision to follow Jesus isn’t about perfection... it’s about direction. It’s about choosing the King of glory as the One you trust, the One you walk with, and the One who leads you into a life fuller than anything you could build alone.

As I review my studies for Easter Sunrise Service, my heart is overflowing with excitement and joy. This season reminds us of something the world often overlooks: the hope we have in Jesus Christ.

Many people don’t understand faith in God — and that’s okay. Faith isn’t something the world can measure or explain. The world tells us to follow our own desires, to let our flesh guide our steps. But God offers something far greater: a path lit by His Word, a life transformed by His love, and a hope that reaches into eternity.

What amazes me is that every single one of us has the opportunity to belong to Him. We can turn from our old ways. We can experience forgiveness, restoration, and everlasting life.

In my own life, God has taken me further than I ever imagined. I’m not talking about “name it and claim it” theology. I’m talking about real, lasting change; the kind that reshapes who you are from the inside out. Spending time with God daily has drawn me closer to Him. When I fall short, I don’t hide behind excuses; I seek forgiveness and move toward reconciliation. The person I used to be is not the person I am today. That’s the power of Jesus.

John 3:16–17 (KJV)
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

No other faith offers a living Savior — One who died for our sins, was buried, rose again, and was seen by hundreds after His resurrection. Only Jesus.

And the beautiful truth is this: there is still time to trust Him.

Revelation 3:20 (KJV)
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

This Easter, please hear the GOOD NEWS! I pray hearts are opened, lives be changed, and may we all experience the joy of the risen Lord.

To everyone walking in faith—let’s come together in prayer. Not alone, not scattered, but united as one family in Christ.

The Bible prepared us for days like these:

“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows..” - Matthew 24:6–8 (KJV)

God is not surprised by anything happening in our world. He has seen the end from the beginning. He is steady, sovereign, and unshaken - and because He is, we can rest AND TRUST in Him.

So let’s pray for one another.
Let’s pray for the Church to stand strong.
Let’s pray for a world that desperately needs the love of Jesus.

“For God so loved the world…”

This may be a defining moment for believers.
Who is God placing on your heart?
Who needs encouragement, hope, or the message of salvation?

Let’s walk this out together.

Thank You, Lord, for the privilege of sharing today’s message about Your unfailing love. It was an honor to preach again at Lee's Chapel Baptist Church, and I am grateful for our pastor and his heart of love for our church body and community. May each of us find deep comfort in knowing Your grace, Your greatness, and Your glory on a personal level, so that we may fully experience them in our walk, in our faith, and in our part of the Great Commission. Thank You for loving us, and thank You for sending Jesus.

Father, we know You are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, as Your Word declares in Revelation 1:11. We know You are loving and merciful, for while we were still sinners, You sent Jesus to die for us, just as Romans 5:8 reminds us.

Strengthen our relationship with You and guide our daily walk, so that through our lives others may come to know who You are. Touch the hearts of those we encounter, opening their ears to hear the Good News and their lives to receive it. Thank You, Father, for Your blessings on each of us. Amen.

So thankful for God’s AMAZING GRACE in my life. He truly is incredible. After spending the day celebrating the love in our family, my mind kept drifting back to the Old Testament — to all the moments where God poured out grace, mercy, and love, even when people struggled to see that His way was the best way for them.

That reflection has me genuinely excited for church tomorrow.

If you didn’t know it: God’s love is ALWAYS. It’s steady. It’s constant.
The only question is whether we will receive it.

Will you accept His love in your life?

What song gets you through the day?

Thursdays are my long-haul days as I travel over 250 miles for work. During that time, Gospel music is my constant companion. I love using Pandora to set up stations that keep me encouraged and uplifted.

Today, I was thrilled when “He Will Roll You Over the Tide” came on. I couldn’t help but think of all that Stephen went through, how he looked to heaven.... "But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,"...

---------------------------------
And I’ve Never Said A Prayer He Could Not Answer
And I’ve Never Shed A Tear He Could Not Dry
So When The Waves Of Life So High You Can’t mount Them
He’ll Roll You Over The Tide
---------------------------------

Im going to tell you, I about ran laps around the car in that moment!

Music has a way of carrying us through good times and especially those difficult ones, doesn’t it?

So I’m curious…
What song cranks your tractor and keeps you going?

I just finished a work call with a colleague who lives two states away. What began as a conversation about family and faith turned into something much deeper. As we spoke about my wife and me preparing for our upcoming delivery—and the reality that our baby will spend time in the NICU—my friend offered words of encouragement.

She knows my faith, my love for God, and my desire to live out His grace and mercy. She also knows the challenges my family is about to face. In that moment, she said something simple yet profound: “If you need anything, let me know.”

But she didn’t stop there. She went further: “I can DoorDash you food or something. Just something to help you and your family!”

That extra step struck me. It wasn’t just a polite gesture—it was action. It reminded me of how often we say “let me know if you need anything” without truly meaning it. My friend showed me what it looks like to go the extra mile, to embody God’s love in practical ways.

Kindness like that encourages those who are struggling. It reflects the heart of Scripture:

Galatians 6:10 (KJV)
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

We are blessed to have friends who live out this truth. But the question remains: are we being that kind of blessing to others? Do we take opportunities to show love in action, not just words?

We all have choices to make. May we choose to live boldly in God’s amazing blessings, to be His hands and feet, and to encourage others in their walk.

Continue to pray—for each other, for our families, and for our faith—that we may reflect His goodness in all we do.
