Over the last year, I’ve drifted in my relationship with God.
Not because I stopped believing — but because life, fatigue, and distractions slowly pulled me away.
This past weekend I was supposed to lead a cowboy church service, and I backed out. I didn’t feel worthy. I felt like I’d be hypocritical.
What I’ve realized since then is this:
the enemy didn’t attack my faith first — he attacked my identity.
Satan doesn’t always try to make us quit believing.
He tries to convince us we’re unworthy, disqualified, or better off staying silent.
That’s identity theft.
That voice telling me I wasn’t fit to lead wasn’t conviction — it was accusation.
The truth is, none of us are perfect. We’re all in process. Our identity isn’t based on our performance — it’s based on Christ.
I’m sharing this because I know I’m not the only one who’s drifted, wrestled, or felt like I needed to “get myself right” before coming back.
God isn’t waiting on perfection.
He’s waiting on honesty.
I’m rebuilding. I’m reclaiming my identity. And I’m moving forward — imperfect, but committed.
