Welcome Back to Kids Rock
Dear Parents,
Welcome back! We are excited to begin another amazing school year with your family. Thank you for choosing Kids Rock Afterschool at Rockledge Christian Preschool & Afterschool. We are honored to care for your children each afternoon and look forward to providing a safe, fun, structured, and Christ-centered environment where they can learn, grow, and build lasting friendships.
As we begin the school year, please review the following important reminders and program policies:
Bullying Policy
We have zero tolerance for bullying. Every child deserves to feel safe, respected, and valued. Bullying, harassment, intimidation, or inappropriate behavior toward others will not be tolerated and will result in disciplinary action.
Homework
Homework is a priority in our program. Please remind your child to let our staff know if they have homework.
Because we are not in the classroom with your child during the school day, we only know they have homework if they tell us. We are happy to make sure it is completed, but we cannot be responsible for assignments we are not made aware of.
Daily Snack
A snack is provided each afternoon. If your child is a picky eater or has preferred snacks, please send an additional snack from home.
Electronics
Students may bring electronics; however:
* All electronics must be turned in to staff upon arrival.
* Students may only use them during designated Electronics Room time.
* Kids Rock is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged electronics.
Charter School Families
If your child attends a charter school, we must have your official car tag.
During rainy-day dismissal or weather delays caused by lightning or severe weather, we cannot pick up your child without the required school-issued car tag. If we do not have your tag, you will be responsible for picking up your child directly from school.
Registration & Tuition
* Returning families will see a $35 Registration Fee added to their account.
* New families will see a $90 Registration Fee.
* Weekly tuition is $80 per child.
Tuition is:
* Billed every Friday for the upcoming week.
* Due by Monday.
If tuition has not been paid and your child rides our school van, transportation services will be suspended until your account is current. You will need to make other arrangements for your child’s transportation from school.
Behavior Expectations
We strive to maintain a safe and positive environment for every student.
Our discipline procedure is:
1. Warning
2. Office Referral
3. Suspension
If a student is referred to the office on more than three occasions for serious behavior concerns, they may be terminated from the Kids Rock Afterschool Program.
Students who create safety concerns while riding the van may lose transportation privileges and may be removed from van service immediately.
Sign In & Sign Out
Parents are required to sign their child out every day using the Procare App.
If staff must sign your child in or out because you failed to do so:
* After the third occurrence, a $20 fee will be charged.
* Each additional occurrence will result in another $20 fee.
ELC Families: Failure to consistently sign your child in and out may also place your childcare funding at risk and could result in termination from the program.
Parent Communication
We are committed to working together with our families.
If you have a concern, please speak directly with me, the Director. I am always happy to help resolve concerns professionally and respectfully.
We ask that parents do not argue with or disrespect our staff members. Disrespectful or disruptive behavior toward staff will not be tolerated.
Incident Reports
If your child is injured or involved in an incident during our program, an incident report will be completed and must be signed by the parent or guardian at pick-up.
Pick-Up & Late Fees
Our program closes promptly at 6:00 PM.
Beginning at 6:05 PM, the following late fees apply:
* $20 late fee per child
* An additional $1 per minute, per child after 6:05 PM
Late fees must be paid in cash before your child may return to the program the following day.
