Today we marvel at the God who spoke light and life into existence, who formed us in the divine image and crowned us with glory and honor. The whole of creation bears witness to the Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, whose love and grace are woven into every corner of the cosmos. Jesus sends us out into that same creation with a great commission: to make disciples, to baptize, to teach, and to trust that he is with us always, to the end of the age.

We are reminded that God has prepared more for us than we can see or imagine, a love that holds us, surrounds us, and lives within us. Even in times of uncertainty or trial, we are not alone, for the Spirit abides with us and in us. We pray for hearts opened to love God above all things, trusting that his promises will lead us into life beyond all we could hope for.

We listen for the voice of the Good Shepherd, the one who calls us by name and leads us into life. In a world full of competing voices, his is the one that brings rest, restores the soul, and gathers us together in love. We pray for the grace to recognize his voice, to trust where he leads, and to follow into the abundant life he promises.

On the road to Emmaus, Jesus draws near, even when he is not recognized. He walks with us in our questions, our sorrow, and our hope. It is in the breaking of bread that their eyes are opened, and they see him at last. We pray that our eyes, too, may be opened, to recognize Christ in our midst and in all the quiet ways he is still at work redeeming the world.

In the days after the resurrection, faith takes shape in real lives: behind locked doors, in doubt, in wonder, and in peace spoken into fear. Christ meets us there, breathing new life into us and drawing us into his body. We pray for the grace to live what we believe, showing forth in our lives the hope and reconciliation we have received.
