It's January, and a lot of folks are working on their New Year's resolutions. And some of them have already given up on them. But if they're worth doing, they're worth failing and trying again. We never make progress toward holiness, if we're not willing to try again. And again. And again!
So, brothers and sisters, what goals are we working on this month? Are we trying to pray more? Spend more time in Scripture? Or maybe we're just trying to be better people in general? Take one small step today--read five verses of a Gospel, spend five minutes in prayer when you wake up, walk for five minutes, put a dollar in your piggy bank for later. Repeat tomorrow.
And if you fail, try again tomorrow. Every journey begins with a single step. And you won't be doing it alone. God loves you.
