Voters in the City of Rockford will elect 3 City Council members in this November’s election. The City Council consists of 5 members with staggered terms. This year 3 seats are available with five candidates running, including three incumbents. Rockford Forward will host a community forum for the candidates on September 18th 2024 from 7:15-8:30pm at the Rockford Public Schools Administration Building (350 N. Main St., Rockford). Ahead of the forum, candidates were invited to submit background information along with answers to general questions.

Voters in the Rockford Public School district will be electing 4 seats for the Board of Education. Prior to the election a public forum will be hosted by Rockford Forward at the Rockford Public Schools Administration Building (350 N. Main St., Rockford) on Sept 18th 2024 from 6:00 -7:15pm. Candidates were offered the opportunity to submit biographical information along with their answers to select questions about their interest in the board and initiatives they desire to pursue.

Thank you to all of the candidates and members of the public that came out tonight! It was a great turnout. To the candidates: We appreciate your time and transparency. To the public: Thank you for coming out to learn more about the candidates. We would also like to thank RPS the use of their space and their staff for helping in making sure it was a well run event.
