After many miles of travel this summer, the mission van is getting a good cleaning and a few days of rest before hitting the road again this fall!

God has been doing wonderful things this summer through the ministry of CBM, and we're thankful to be an instrument in His hands for advancing His kingdom.

You can be part of what God is doing through CBM too — by giving financially, and by laboring together with us in prayer. Would you join us in praying for:

- Safety on the roads
- Divine appointments that open the door to good ministry opportunities
- Grace to be an encouragement to everyone we engage with
- That God would use these trips to stir up more laborers for the harvest
- Strength and rest for the team as we prepare for a full fall season
- Open and receptive hearts among those we'll meet
- Provision for the practical needs of the trip
- Peace and encouragement for our families while we're away

Thank you for standing with us in this work!

We can know the right answers, understand theology, and have strong convictions about the Gospel, but if we don’t love people, something is missing.

Jesus didn’t just command us to make disciples. He loved people. He saw their needs, had compassion on them, and went to them.

That same love should drive our mission.

Love for Christ.
Love for His church.
Love for our neighbors.
Love for people who desperately need to hear the Gospel.

Who is God putting in your path that needs to experience the love of Christ through you?

It’s easy to think of missions as something that happens somewhere else—to people we may never meet. But what about the people God has already placed around you?

The neighbor you see every week.
The coworker sitting across from you.
The family you pass at the ball field.
The person you see at the grocery store.

They may be part of the untold millions who have never heard the Gospel clearly.

You don’t have to move across the world to be involved in the mission. Start with the people God has already put in your path.

Pray for them. Build a relationship. Look for an opportunity to share the Gospel.

“How are they to hear without someone preaching?” (Romans 10:14)

Who is one person you can pray for and reach this week?

Sometimes we make serving God more complicated than it needs to be. We wait until we feel ready, until we have everything figured out, or until we think we have enough faith.

But God has always used people who were simply willing to follow Him.

Maybe your next step is serving more faithfully in your local church. Maybe it’s getting involved in missions. Maybe God is leading you to consider something bigger... like becoming a church planter or missionary builder.

You don’t have to have the whole path figured out. You just need to be willing to take the next step.

“Here am I! Send me.” — Isaiah 6:8

Ask God today, “What do You want me to do next?” Then be willing to follow wherever He leads.

A church can be busy, faithful, and even comfortable—and still lose sight of its mission.

Jesus gave His church a mission: **make disciples.** That means taking the Gospel beyond the walls of the church and into our communities, neighborhoods, workplaces, and around the world.

At CBM, we believe healthy churches are churches that are actively making disciples and sending people out with the Gospel. So here’s the question for us today:

👉 Are we still reaching people who need Jesus?

Let’s not become comfortable with simply maintaining what we have. Let’s keep moving forward with the Gospel.

Don’t forget to pray for our missionaries.

Behind every church plant, every building project, every discipleship conversation, every Bible study, and every Gospel conversation is a missionary who needs God’s strength, wisdom, and grace.

Pray for them today. Pray for their families. Pray for the people they’re trying to reach. Pray for open doors for the gospel and boldness to walk through them. And pray that God would continue to raise up more laborers for His harvest.

Missions isn’t just something we give to or read about. It’s something we pray for.

Take a few minutes today and pray for a CBM missionary by name.

What a week!

Five churches from the Bridge Fellowship (Michigan GARBC) came together at Camp Michawana for an all-inclusive missions trip. The idea was simple: show up with a heart to serve, and there were already ways to serve together.

From Tuesday through Friday, the teens headed into communities around the camp to share the Gospel, serve at a local Alpha Women’s Center, help a food pantry, partner with a local church to reach their community, and bless some of their senior saints.

Then it was back to camp each afternoon for some classic camp life before gathering in the chapel for music and time in God’s Word. Our Executive Director, Joshua Putnam, had the privilege of preaching each night.

This was an incredible opportunity for these students—not just to serve, but to see what missions can look like and how God can use them right where they are.

Keep your eyes peeled for more updates from the week!

Thank you to everyone who prayed for these churches, leaders, and students. We’re grateful for what God did through this week!

Next week, youth groups from across Michigan will gather for a week of ministry and growth. From August 10–15, students in grades 6–12 will spend their days serving local communities through evangelism, VBS, work projects, and other outreach opportunities. Each evening, they'll come together for worship, fellowship, and a challenge from God's Word.

Joshua has the privilege of preaching each night, and we would appreciate your prayers. Please pray that God would prepare the hearts of these teens, draw them closer to Himself, and use this week to strengthen their faith and call many to lives of faithful service.
