MAGR fulfills the religious, spiritual, social, charitable as well as communal needs of Muslims in the Greater Rockford Area and beyond by being a leader in the Rockford community. Our facility located at 5921 Darlene Drive was built by local skilled labor and it is where we worship, gather, and celebrate all that God provides for us everyday. Asalamu Alaikum,

We are deeply saddened by the tragic incident that took place today at the Islamic Center and School in San Diego. Our hearts and duas are with all those affected, their families, and the entire community during this difficult time.

Our board is actively monitoring the situation and remains in communication with local officials and the Sheriff’s Department regarding safety measures and next steps. Additional security precautions are being coordinated, and there will be increased patrol presence around our community facilities.

At this time, there is no known or credible threat to our community here in Rockford. However, we encourage everyone to remain calm, stay vigilant, and be mindful of their surroundings as we continue working closely with authorities and community leadership.

The safety and well-being of our community remain our top priority, and we will continue to provide updates as more verified information becomes available.

May Allah protect our communities and grant healing, patience, and peace to all those affected. Ameen.
