Here is the audio from Fr. Grady’s homily from the 11:00am Mass for Trinity Sunday - “God so loved the world …” On this Trinity Sunday, we recognize the truth of the reality of the Most Blessed Trinity - one God, three Divine Persons … the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. In St. John’s Gospel, we are reminded by Our Lord, “God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. Whoever believes in Him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.” Do we ever stop and think, to recognize the truth that God so loved ME that He sent His only Son? And yes, that is the truth - God loves you and He loves me.

Here is the audio from Fr. Grady’s homily from the 9:30am Mass for The Feast of Pentecost - “And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit …” In our first reading from the Acts of the Apostles, we read: “When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim.” The Holy Spirit was given to us in Baptism … so we give Him the freedom to drive our daily lives? Do we allow Him to help us proclaim that Jesus is Lord? Come Holy Spirit … fill the hearts of Your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Your Love!

Here is the audio from Fr. Grady’s homily from the 11:00am Mass for The Feast of the Ascension - “May the eyes of your hearts be enlightened …” In the second reading, St. Paul writes in his letter to the Ephesians: “May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give you a Spirit of wisdom and revelation resulting in knowledge of Him. May the eyes of your hearts be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope that belongs to His call, what are the riches of glory in His inheritance among the holy ones, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power for us who believe, in accord with the exercise of his great might, which He worked in Christ, raising Him from the dead and seating Him at His right hand in the heavens, far above every principality, authority, power, and dominion, and every name that is named not only in this age but also in the one to come.” Christ’s Ascension fills us with hope … the hope to follow Him and the hope of the Holy Spirit. Pray for the stirring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.

Here is the audio from Fr. Grady’s homily from the 9:30am Mass for the 6th Sunday of Easter - “Sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts.” St. Peter writes in his first Letter, “Sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts. Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope, but do it with gentleness and reverence, keeping your conscience clear, so that, when you are maligned, those who defame your good conduct in Christ may themselves be put to shame. For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that be the will of God, than for doing evil. For Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the sake of the unrighteous, that He might lead you to God.” If Christ is Lord in your heart, no matter what comes our way, you will be able to bear it and to do so for the glory of God. The example and story of Venerable Cardinal Francois-Xavier Nguyên Van Thuân teaches us that when Christ is Lord of our hearts, we can truly bear all things.

Grady’s homily from the 11:00am Mass for the 5th Sunday of Easter - “No one comes to the Father except through Me.” Gathered with His Apostles in the Upper Room for the Last Supper, our Lord Jesus encourages His Apostles to draw their attention to Him for it is through Him that we will see the Father and be united to Him.

Here is the audio from Fr. Grady’s homily from the 9:30am Mass for the 4th Sunday of Easter - “… as the shepherd calls His own sheep by name and leads them out.” On this Good Shepherd Sunday, we recognize the importance of fostering, nurturing, and encouraging vocations … in particular vocations to the priesthood. Each of us is here for a reason, and are a part of God‘s plan for His creation. God willed us into being and gave us particular gifts and talents in order to fulfill a reason for being. Please pray for an increase in vocations to the priesthood for our diocese and for the entire church. Pray also for an openness to good and holy vocations in our families and in our parishes and in our world.

Here is the audio from Fr. Grady’s homily from the 11:00am Mass for the 3rd Sunday of Easter - “Were not our hearts burning within us?” In the Gospel, Our Lord encounters the disciples on the road to Emmaus. He heals the doubts in their hearts and their souls, the wounds in their faith. He does this by unpacking the Scriptures, as well as revealing Himself in the breaking of the bread, the Most Holy Eucharist. This encounter with the risen Lord sets their hearts on fire. The Lord desires to set our hearts on fire when we encounter Him in the moment of divine intimacy, which is the moment of Holy Communion.
