📖✨ Scripture Sunday ✨📖

“I am no longer a slave to sin.”
Today’s affirmation reminds us of the freedom that Christ has won for us ✨🕊️

Scripture tells us that our old selves were crucified with Christ so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin (Romans 6:6, NABRE) 💛 Through His mercy and grace, we are not defined by our past mistakes, temptations, or struggles.

Instead, we reject the patterns of sin and refuse to let them master our lives: “Stop being ignorant and sinning” (1 Corinthians 15:34, NABRE) 🙏 Christ has not called us to bo***ge, shame, or despair. As St. Paul reminds us: “For freedom Christ set us free” (Galatians 5:1, NABRE) 🌿

Because of this freedom, we can live each day with hope and confidence as beloved children of God: “creation itself would be set free from slavery to corruption and share in the glorious freedom of the children of God” (Romans 8:21, NABRE) ✨

May this affirmation remind you today that in Christ, freedom is possible, healing is possible, and a new beginning is always possible 💚

🧠 Mental Health Minute | Minuto de Salud Mental 💜

✨ Healthy sleep is important for both our minds and our bodies.
Good sleep habits can improve mood, reduce stress, increase focus, and support emotional well-being. Small changes to our nightly routine can make a big difference over time. 🌙

💤 Try practicing healthy sleep habits like:
📱 Limiting electronics before bed
☕ Avoiding caffeine later in the day
🏃 Giving your body time to rest before sleep
❄️ Keeping your room cool and comfortable

As people of faith, rest is not laziness—it is a gift from God. May we give ourselves permission to slow down, rest well, and care for the bodies and minds God has entrusted to us. 🙏

📖✨ Scripture Sunday ✨📖

“I am the temple of the living God.”
Today’s affirmation reminds us of the incredible truth that God is not distant—He dwells within us 🕊️💛

Scripture tells us: “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the holy Spirit within you…?” (1 Corinthians 6:19, NABRE) ✨ Through His love and grace, God makes His home in us. As St. John writes, “Whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him.” (1 John 4:16, NABRE) 🌿

The Holy Spirit lives within us, guiding, strengthening, and sanctifying us each day: “Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16, NABRE) 🙏 And Jesus Himself invites us into deep communion with Him: “Remain in me, as I remain in you.” (John 15:4, NABRE) 💚

What a beautiful reminder that we carry the presence of God wherever we go. We are never abandoned, never forgotten, and never alone.

May this affirmation help you walk today with greater peace, reverence, and confidence in the God who abides within you ✨

🌿 This weekend, embrace the gift of the Sabbath and remember that rest is truly holy. Even Jesus “would withdraw to deserted places to pray” (Luke 5:16), showing us the importance of stepping away to be renewed in God’s presence.

In a world that constantly tells us to keep working, producing, and doing more, Christ gently reminds us: “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). 💛

As summer begins, let this be your invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and spend time with the Lord. Whether it’s a quiet walk, a few moments of prayer, or simply resting without guilt, caring for your mind, body, and soul honors the God who created you. ☀️🙏

🧠⛪OSV News recently published a powerful article highlighting the growing importance of mental health ministry within our churches, especially in supporting our priests and those they accompany.

In “Priests often serve as first responders for those struggling with mental health, experts say” by Katie Yoder, the article explores how priests are often among the first people individuals turn to during mental health struggles, the increasing need for mental health ministry in parish life, and practical ways churches can begin offering support and resources.

This is an important and timely conversation for our faith communities as we continue working to ensure that no one struggles alone. 💚🙏

Happy Memorial Day. 🇺🇸 Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice is a profound reminder of courage, love, and selflessness.

For many, this day also carries grief, especially for those mourning loved ones lost in battle. If today feels heavy for you, know that you are not alone. Our Lord walks with us in our sorrow, bringing comfort, compassion, and hope even in the midst of grief. ✨

As we gather with loved ones today, may we also take time to reflect with gratitude, remember the stories of those who served, and thank God for the freedoms and safety made possible through their sacrifice. May eternal rest be granted unto them, O Lord. 🙏
