Mistress Vixanna sent some Ethan's most ruthless enemies after him in order to try and distract the Anointed Agent from coming after her. Tyler Lynch and Booker Briggs have joined The Circle of Shadows Syndicate in order to get out of prison, by siding with Juian Neeble, who has not only been granted with immortality by eating the Fruit from The Tree of Life, but now has been given the power of the Legion. It all comes to a head in the Battle of the Jefferson Street Bridge. The captured Fallen Angel, Drexiel, starts to talk and reveals something of interest to the Remnant.
