For many years, it has been our privilege and blessing to worship, serve, and grow together as the West Bell Church of Christ. Through seasons of joy, sorrow, and steadfast faith, this congregation has been a place where lives were changed, friendships were formed, and God’s Word was faithfully preached.
As the years have passed, our congregation has naturally changed. Many of our beloved brothers and sisters have grown older, some have gone home to be with the Lord, others have faced health challenges that have limited their ability to attend, and many of the younger generations have moved away. After much prayer and reflection, and with the opportunity to step back and retire from preaching, we have made the difficult decision to close the physical doors of the West Bell Church of Christ and offer the building for sale.
While this decision has not been easy, we take great comfort in knowing that the church is not a building—it is God’s people. For some time now, we have been worshiping together with the Lexington Church of Christ as one united congregation. From the very beginning, they welcomed us with open arms, genuine love, and Christian fellowship. Their kindness has made this transition one of hope rather than loss, and we are deeply grateful for the family we have found there.
As we continue serving the Lord together, this page will also begin a new chapter and will be renamed to reflect the Lexington Church of Christ. Though the name of this page is changing, the faith, friendships, and memories of West Bell Church of Christ will always hold a special place in our hearts. We thank every member, visitor, friend, and supporter who has been part of this congregation through the years. Your love, prayers, and faithful service have left a legacy that will not be forgotten.
We ask for your continued prayers as we move forward together, trusting that God is faithful and that His work will continue for generations to come. To Him be all the glory.
