The United Methodist Church of the Rockaways is a family friendly all inclusive congregation, our church is located across from Parks Lake, right near the center of Rockaway Borough. For more than 175 years, our church has been bringing people to Christ, helping disciples grow, and sharing the love of Jesus. In addition to ongoing support of the Rockaway Food Closet, we have been coordinating the

"Back to School" backpack program for needy children in Rockaway Borough schools. We welcome families with young children in our worship service. During our regular season at our 10:00AM worship service we provide children's programming. Parents are free to take advantage of these opportunities, or to have their little ones worship with the family. Worship Services Each Sunday
10:00AM - Combined Service ( Optional Communion every Sunday 9:45) w/ children's programming. Traditional Communion Service every First Sunday of each month at 10:00AM

Our Story

The United Methodist Church of the Rockaways is a family friendly all inclusive congregation, our church is located across from Parks Lake, right near the center of Rockaway Borough. For more than 175 years, our church has been bringing people to Christ, helping disciples grow, and sharing the love of Jesus. We support missions, both locally and globally. In addition to ongoing support of the Rockaway Food Closet, we have been coordinating the "Back to School" backpack program for needy children in Rockaway Borough schools. Throughout the year we host several "Be Our Guest" events, including free pancake breakfasts, our annual Thanksgiving Feast, and (new this year) Christmas dinner. These are open to anyone who desires to join us for good food and fellowship. We welcome families with young children in our worship services. During our regular season 9:30 worship service we provide both nursery care and children's programming. Parents are free to take advantage of these opportunities, or to have their little ones worship with the family. Worship Services Each Sunday: 9:30 am - Contemporary Bilingual Service (Communion every Sunday) September thru June in Church Sanctuary and July & August Services is held across the street at Park Lake Gazebo 11:00 am - Traditional Worship Service (Communion 1st Sunday of the Month) Service is held in church sanctuary all year round.
