🌻Can I be honest for a second?

I think a lot more people are searching for God right now than they’re willing to admit.

People are tired. Tired of carrying anxiety, pressure, disappointment, emptiness, fear, striving… and trying to fill a spiritual void with everything except the One thing that actually satisfies.

And last night during Bible study, that truth felt so evident. šŸ¤

We spent the evening walking through Romans 3, and one of the biggest takeaways was this: none of us can earn our way to God. Not through being ā€œgood enough,ā€ having it all together, religion, success, perfection, or pretending.

We ALL need grace. Every single one of us.

And honestly? There’s something incredibly freeing about finally realizing you don’t have to perform for God to love you. Jesus already made a way for us to come near to Him.

One thing I love so much about this group is that people don’t come pretending to have life figured out. They come hungry.
Open.
Honest.
Willing to grow.
Willing to heal.
Willing to let God transform them from the inside out.

And maybe you’ve been following these posts quietly for a while now… wondering why they keep pulling at your heart a little.

Maybe that tug you’re feeling isn’t random.

Maybe God is inviting you closer.

The beautiful thing about Jesus is that He doesn’t ask you to clean yourself up first. He simply asks you to open the door and let Him in. ā¤ļø

Today I accidentally turned my devotional into a superhero briefing meeting… Let me explain 🤣

This morning during our devotional, my husband and I were reading 1 Corinthians 12 about spiritual gifts, how God gives each of us something unique, not for spotlight, but for serving and building one another up.

And somewhere in that conversation, we started laughing and I asked him,

ā€œSo… what’s your superpower?ā€ šŸ˜„

We meant it playfully at first but then it turned into something really meaningful.

We each took a moment to name one way we contribute to our marriage and family, one strength, one gift, one thing we bring that helps our home thrive. Then we paused and did something simple but powerful:

We thanked God for it.
And we affirmed it out loud.

And I can’t explain it fully, but the room just felt different. Softer. More grateful. More aware of each other. We needed that moment.

So of course, we had to bring this into family night. Which as Friday nights for us!

Here’s what we’re planning:

We’ll gather in a circle.
Bring out a superhero cape (because we’re fully leaning in 🤪).
And one by one, each daughter will step into the middle. The rest of us will take turns speaking life over her, naming what we see in her, what we love about her, what makes her uniquely her. Then we’ll ask her:

ā€œWhat do YOU think your superpower is?ā€

Because we’re learning something in this season…That identity is formed in the moments we are seen.Confidence grows in the places we are spoken over. And family becomes powerful when we learn to honor what God has already placed in each other.

It’s simple. It’s playful. But it’s also deeply intentional. Because sometimes the most powerful thing we can do in a home… is remind each other who we are.

Superheroes don’t always wear capes but in our house, we might just start using one anyway šŸ¦øā€ā™€ļø

I’ll let you know how it goes after family night (stay tuned) and if you try it, I’d love to hear how it lands in your home too.

ā€œNow to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.ā€ 1 Corinthians 12:7

Sharing a moment with you…

Sometimes the most powerful sermons don’t come from a pulpit, they come from a 6 year old with a cup of chocolate milk… let me explain…

I was reading 1 Corinthians 9, where Paul talks about willingly giving up his rights for the sake of love and the gospel. Not because he had to but because love made him willing.

And then something happened in my home that brought that scripture to life.My middle daughter Emma loves chocolate milk every night. A few nights ago it was late, and we were running low on milk. My youngest, barely two (Ava Joy), also drinks milk every night and so do I. But there was only enough for two.

So quietly, I gave my portion to my two youngest. Emma noticed I wasn’t having any and asked why. I told her there was only enough for her and baby Ava.

Without hesitation she said,
ā€œWell mama… you can have mine.ā€

I smiled and told her, ā€œNo baby, you can have it.ā€ But she insisted, ā€œNo mama, that’s okay. I want you to have it.ā€

I reminded her, ā€œBut Emma… you love milk.ā€

And she looked at me and said something that completely melted my heart:

ā€œBut I love you most.ā€

She’s only six years old, yet in that moment, love made her willing to give up something she genuinely enjoyed.

That’s the heart of 1 Corinthians 9.

Love that says:
I don’t have to but I want to.
I have the right but I choose surrender.
I could keep it but love makes me give it.

This is the beauty of Christ like love.
Not forced sacrifice but willing surrender. Not obligation but affection. Not duty but devotion.

And honestly, this is the kind of love the world notices. It’s the love that lays down preferences. The love that chooses others. The love that quietly gives without needing recognition.

May we grow in this kind of love, pure, selfless, and willing. The kind of love that says…

ā€œI love you most.ā€

And just like that… a cup of chocolate milk became a sermon I’ll never forget.

Mary is standing outside the tomb weeping, overwhelmed, heartbroken, and unable to see beyond her pain. And yet, heaven is already moving.

Twice she is engaged by the divine and twice she misses it.

Angels speak to her.
Jesus Himself stands before her.
But grief has narrowed her vision.

ā€œWhy are you crying?ā€

This question is not a rebuke, it’s an invitation. An invitation to lift her eyes beyond what she thinks she’s lost and into what God is already doing. How often are we like Mary?

So caught up in what’s gone…
So overwhelmed by pain…
So convinced the story is over…

That we miss the fact that Jesus is already standing near. Mary was looking for a dead Jesus but He was alive. And sometimes we do the same. We search for God in old ways, familiar patterns, past seasons. We expect Him to show up how He always has. But resurrection means God is doing something new. Something beyond our expectations. Something greater than what we thought we lost.

Her circumstances were screaming, He’s gone. It’s over. God didn’t come through. But reality was this, Jesus was close. Jesus was present. Jesus was engaged. Jesus cared. Her suffering blinded her but His presence never left her.

And then everything changes with one word…. ā€œMary.ā€

Not a sermon.
Not a miracle.
Just her name.

In that moment, confusion breaks.
Grief lifts. Hope awakens. Faith returns. One word from His mouth changed everything. That’s still true today. One word from Jesus can, Break chains, Bring clarity, Dismantle strongholds, Heal wounds, Restore hope, Silence fear. Hallelujah!

Because when He speaks, He doesn’t just give information, He gives revelation. When Jesus called her name, He was reminding her…
I know you.
I see you.
I love you.
I have not abandoned you.

And here’s another powerful layer, this painful moment wasn’t just loss… it was transition. Jesus tells her, ā€œDon’t cling to meā€¦ā€ Why?

Because their relationship was about to expand. What once was limited to physical presence was about to become an unending spiritual connection. Through His Spirit, He would no longer be beside them, He would be within them!!

This wasn’t the end. It was a graduation. A deeper intimacy. A greater access. What felt like loss was actually elevation. And maybe that’s where you are right now.

Crying at the tomb…
Grieving what you thought was over…
Wondering where God is…

But the tomb is empty. The enemy didn’t win. God hasn’t failed. And Jesus is not where you think He is.

He’s alive. He’s working. He’s near. And He’s calling you by name. You may not see Him yet. You may not recognize what He’s doing. But one word from Him can change everything.

He is not indifferent to your pain.
He is not distant in your suffering.
He is not silent in your confusion.

He is closer than you realize… doing something new… leading you into deeper intimacy… and preparing you for what’s next. You think you’re standing at a tomb, But resurrection has already begun.

Listen closely. He’s calling your name.

šŸ™ŒšŸ¼Yesterday’s session, Impacting the Next Gen, was something special šŸ¤

In a world that feels messy and loud, we leaned into what it truly looks like to raise our children in the Lord…through prayer, intention, and deep trust in God’s hand over their lives.

There was honesty.
There was vulnerability.
Parents asked real, heartfelt questions about how to start early, how to guide their children through culture and peer pressure, and how to continually point them back to Jesus.

What unfolded was powerful—real stories, practical wisdom, and moments that reminded us we’re not alone in this journey.

If you’re raising, loving, or praying for the next generation… this is for you. šŸ¤

Here is some encouragement for this day, I pray it blesses you!

Bring Glory to Your Name…

ā€œNow my soul is deeply troubled. Should I pray, ā€˜Father, save me from this hour’? But this is the very reason I came! Father, bring glory to your name.ā€
-John 12:27-28 (NLT)

There are moments in life, especially in the middle of hardship, when our first instinct is to cry out, Lord, get me out of this. And yet, in this verse, Jesus models something radically different. Though deeply troubled, He doesn’t ask for escape. He embraces the pain because He knows this is the very reason He came, to bring glory to the Father.

How often do we come to God with pleas for comfort, quick fixes, and desired outcomes, forgetting that our highest calling is not our ease but His glory? True peace, true satisfaction, true life, is found not in the absence of suffering but in the center of God’s will.

So today, I want to encourage you, before you ask God to change your situation, ask Him to change your perspective. Pause and pray…

ā€œFather, what will bring You the most glory through this? What path will allow others to see more of You in me? Align my heart with Yours. I don’t just want relief, I want to live sold out for You. I trust You. Whatever it costs, I want to live the kind of life that makes Heaven known on earth.ā€

Ladies to find your life, you must lose it. To truly live, you must fully surrender. May your only ambition be this… that in you, and through you, His name would be lifted high.

Father, bring glory to Your name, in every part of my life.
