One of the most loved traditions of our Vacation Bible School is our amazing kitchen crew. Every year, the kitchen ladies work tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure our teachers, helpers, volunteers, and staff are well fed and cared for.
Today, they outdid themselves once again, serving a wonderful Tavern picnic meal to more than 500 people! What an incredible blessing their hard work is to our VBS family.
As grateful as we are for today's meal and all those who helped prepare and serve it, our hearts are also missing someone very special. This is the first VBS without Beth TG. For years, she was a familiar face in the kitchen, helping set out snacks, sharing laughter, and showing love through her service. Her presence was a treasured part of this tradition, and there were many moments this week when we wished she was right there alongside the rest of the crew.
While we miss her deeply, we know she would be so proud to see this tradition continuing and to see the kitchen ladies carrying on the ministry she loved so much. We are thankful for her years of faithful service and for the lasting impact she made on everyone.
Today's meal was a reminder that while people may leave our sight, the love and legacy they leave behind continue to nourish and bless others. ❤️
