🌿 This Indigenous Peoples Day, we honor the Indigenous peoples whose histories, cultures, and relationships with this land stretch back since time immemorial.

Seattle takes its name from Chief Si’ahl, a Duwamish and Suquamish leader. His name reminds us that the history of this place began long before the city—and that Indigenous communities continue to thrive here today.

Today, we listen, learn, and celebrate Indigenous voices. 💚

God does not require a polished prayer. You can bring the confusion, grief, gratitude, and fear exactly as they are. Honesty can be an act of trust. Tell God what is truly within you.

Consider where this truth meets your real life today, without rushing or pretending that hard things are easy. For a longer weekly pause in God’s presence, our free devotional is waiting through the link in bio.

Good morning

God’s guidance is not always found in the loudest impression. Sometimes clarity begins when we release our demand for a dramatic answer and become attentive to the quiet truth already before us.

Listening may look like lingering with Scripture, noticing a gentle conviction, or receiving enough peace to take one faithful step. The STILL Method Workbook helps create space for this slower kind of discernment with Jesus. It is not about forcing God to speak on command; it is about becoming present enough to recognize His faithful voice. Explore the workbook through the link in bio.

The "borders around" the world...
are rarely as welcoming as Jesus...
would have them be... Let's change...
this failing into welcoming all...
people... Kyrie eleison...

Not every important story begins with tragedy.

There are stories of neighbors helping neighbors, communities welcoming strangers, people standing up for justice, and ordinary individuals doing extraordinary acts of kindness.

These stories deserve our attention, too.

Hope is not pretending that suffering does not exist. Hope is recognizing that love continues to work in the world, even when the headlines suggest otherwise.

Today, look for a story of compassion. Share it. Give thanks for it. Let it inspire you.

God of hope, open our eyes to the good unfolding around us. Help us celebrate acts of kindness and join in the work of making your love visible. Amen.

October 12, 2026
Indigenous Peoples’ Day, celebrated annually on the second Monday of October, serves as a meaningful opportunity to honor the rich histories, vibrant cultures, and enduring resilience of Indigenous people.

Renaming this day, shifts the narrative toward a more inclusive history by recognizing the profound contributions of Indigenous nations to society, science, and the arts.

Today, it stands as both a celebration of cultural pride and a critical reminder of the ongoing fight for tribal sovereignty, land stewardship, and human rights.
