A Letter from Past Grand Knight Michael Boren:
Peace be with you!
This past weekend I was presented with The Wyoming State Knight of the Year award by Worthy State Deputy Jim Larscheid.
I am deeply moved by this great honor. In truth, there are many people who deserve this recognition.
The Knights of Council 2441 are all excellent men of great virtue. If I could, I would tell you about each and every one of them, the work they do, and how they live a life of faith. It has been my privilege to serve as their Grand Knight for the past four years. I am profoundly inspired by their generosity and kindness.
I would especially like to recognize Brad Bettolo. Without his support, guidance and leadership, our Council would be at a great loss. Brad's mentorship has ensured that our Council has continued to grow and be active, and I am honored to call him my friend.
I would also be remiss if I failed to thank my wife Rebecca, and my children James and Audrey. Their love and support have helped me in ways I cannot articulate, and I could not do any of it without them. They have steadfastly supported me and worked alongside me every step of the way. I could not ask for a better family.
As I accept this recognition, please know that I accept it not as a personal accolade, but as a witness to the love, kindness and generosity of the great men I have been honored to serve with.
This past weekend the men of the parish were given sign up sheets to join the Knights of Columbus. If you have not returned yours yet, it is not too late! Bring your cards back this weekend, and see how your spiritual life may flourish when surrounded by others seeking a life of unity, fraternity and charity.
May the God of love send His Holy Spirit upon us to help us grow closer together and to serve God's people as Christ himself came to serve.
Vivat Jesus!
