Our Story
Shekinah Hands of Deliverance Ministry’s mission is to ease access to the most basic necessities for those whose resources are limited. We aim to provide food, clothing, education, and health counseling throughout the Carolinas.
Our mission extends to Haiti where we supply clean water, education, food, clothing and health counseling to the people of Balan, a suburb of Port-au-Prince.
Shekinah Hands of Deliverance Ministry was formed in 1990 as a faith based organization which exists to help people in various aspects of their lives through different educational classes.
Since incorporation in 1990, Helping Hands of Carolina has increased the number of programs available to include such things as teen pregnancy classes and after school tutoring in addition to their HIV/AIDS prevention program.
Shekinah Hands of Deliverance Ministry has served the youth since 1991 by teaching them how to prevent the contraction of HIV/AIDS and other STDs through abstinence programs.
For those who are already s*xually active, we teach them how to have safe and protected s*x. We teach the youth how to resist peer pressure, drugs, and alcohol. We help them to develop pride and self-esteem.
In 2007 and every year since we went to Haiti where we had an opportunity to serve the people by distributing foods, clothes, and shoes, and provided basic care to the children in Balan, the suburbs of Port-Au-Prince.
