The DAILY HUDDLE: “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬ ‭NIV‬‬. It’s good to remember who you are in God’s eyes. Chosen. A special possession. Obviously you’re important to God and have a special place. You’re not junk or worthless or meaningless. The DAILY HUDDLE: “And has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.” Revelation‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬. I learned a doctrine in college called “Individual Soul Liberty” which extended from the fact that all are priests in God’s eyes. We all have equal standing with God so one believer should not be making rules for other believers. We follow the written word but after that we sort life out between us and God. This week we opened God’s Word in Mark 8:31-33. We explored what it means to trust God’s plan even when it includes suffering, sacrifice, and circumstances we don’t fully understand.

Peter struggled to accept the path Jesus would take to the cross, but through Christ’s suffering, rejection, death, and resurrection, God accomplished His perfect plan of salvation. Discover how faith grows when we learn to trust God’s purposes and hold tightly to the hope found in Jesus.

The DAILY HUDDLE: “So that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,” Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬. That sounds awesome - good works and growth! I’ve planted 18 blueberry bushes and what do I expect? I want them to bear fruit that’s edible! They are in process of growing and I hope for great things. In a way, God planted us and we should bear fruit by doing good to help others. What can we do to benefit the world around us? The DAILY HUDDLE: “For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,” Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬ ‭NIV. Paul asked God to fill people with the knowledge of his will through the Spirit. No human can or should be there to inform every decision other people make. We need to rely on God to steer people. I believe teaching is vital as there is a lot to learn. However, people need to be free to seek God’s will through the Spirit. Let’s allow God to do His work in people’s lives. Let’s encourage but not interfere. Have a great day all ~~ Bill

The DAILY HUDDLE: “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬. In a world filled with drama, conspiracy theories, climate change, UFO stories, and media lies, it may be difficult to focus on the positives. Find the truth and good things and focus on them. As to the world ending and all of these dark outcomes, let me say this. I’ve been hearing about the demise of the planet and visitors from space for over 50 years. I’ve heard the hysteria but I’ve never seen any of it come to anything. Let’s not get caught up in all of the spooky speculations - focus on what’s good and doing it ~~ Bill
