UURoc: First Universalist Church of Rochester, NY

UURoc: First Universalist Church of Rochester, NY To nurture the spirit and serve the community. We are more than a church. We are a loving, justice-seeking spiritual community.

We are proudly rooted in our downtown neighborhood, yet our members come from all over the greater Rochester area. Our congregation is a diverse metropolitan group exhibiting a strong intergenerational feeling of family. We are a thriving, friendly group characterized by enthusiasm and activity. Each of us has an opportunity to participate in a variety of church and social activities. We strive to

practice the Unitarian Universalist qualities of equality and tolerance which encompass a wide range of religious ideas and beliefs. Everyone is welcome to join us Sundays at 10:30am during the church year, and Sundays at 10am during the summer.

This Pride Month, we celebrate the joy, resilience, and beauty of LGBTQIA+ communities.

In "The Q***r Beatitudes," Tim Atkins (also known as Sister Sweet Suffering Tea of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence) offers this blessing:

"Blessed are we, the whole q***r family,
for love is our birthright, and joy is our inheritance."

May we continue building a world where every person can live, love, and flourish as their full self. 🌈
