A Time For Women

After much prayer & effort we are sorry to announce that A Time for Women will not be meeting this season. Thank you for your prayers & support in the past. And a special thank you to the many speakers who have shared & been such a blessing to this ministry! We have enjoyed great testimonies of God’s work in lives & had many wonderful demonstrations plus worked together on projects. At this time we do not have enough volunteers to coordinate the program. Thank you for the efforts of so many. Blessings!

Inspiring & fun evening at A Time for Women last night at Autumn Ridge church, Rochester! We heard devotions from our Visitation Minister, Sandee Johnson. She shared on “Finding Courage In Ministry”. Also on the program was Julie Domaille, “The Cookie Lady”. She told us about her business & being on the National TV Food Network Christmas Cookie Challenge. She gave us a demo on decorating cookies & had many examples of her artistry.

We are excited to invite women to our last A Time for Women meeting of the season, Thursday May 12, 2022 at 6:30 pm. We meet at Autumn Ridge Church, 3611 Salem Rd SW, Rochester in the Common Grounds Café.

Julie Domaille known as “The Cookie Lady” will be presenting a talk and demo. Out of 40 national cookie designers, Julie was selected to compete in the TV Show Food Network’s Holiday theme, the Christmas Cookie Challenge. She is currently on the cover of Rochester SW Magazine. In her cookie business, Julie’s Cookie Creations, she makes custom boutique cookies, fills orders and teaches cookie classes. Julie is also an active Realtor, she enjoys planning and organizing benefit events and in her spare time is an avid gardener. Thursday evening she will show us her cookies & the process of decorating them.

We also have Sandee Johnson who will be sharing devotions entitled “Finding Courage in Ministry”. She is the mother of two and grandmother of four. Sandee is currently the Visitation Minister of Autumn Ridge Church and has served the elderly saints since 2009. Prior to this, Sandee worked at IBM for 34 years as a graphic designer, writer, editor, publisher, marketing manager and communications consultant. In the past she has served as community volunteer for several art organizations and schools for 40 plus years. Also, as part of her background she served as a pre-school Sunday School teacher, children’s sermon director, a nursery volunteer and at the welcome center, plus designing and writing articles. Come and meet the lady who cares for those who are often forgotten…

All women are invited to attend and refreshments will be served.

Delightful and uplifting evening at A Time for Women on Thursday, April 14th at Autumn Ridge Church, Rochester with Jill Krieger Swanson. We had a large number of women come to hear her inspiring testimony and life story plus demonstration. The title of her talk was "Look Your Best and Spend Less".

Author, motivational speaker and Image Consultant, Jill Swanson will be speaking Thursday, April 14th at A Time for Women at Autumn Ridge Church, Rochester, at 6:30 pm in the Summit Room. The title of her talk is “Look Your Best and Spend Less”.
Jill has been featured in magazines, on television and radio. You will enjoy her warm, energetic and personable style. Jill's desire is to see women become their personal best both inside and out. Her passion is rooted in her strong Christian faith and love of people. Jill and her husband, Craig, live in Zumbro Falls and have two adult children, 1 grandchild and one on the way.
She will also be doing a book signing at the meeting. Her books are: “Simply Beautiful Inside and Out”, “Out the Door in 15 Minutes”, “Simply Stylish, Look Great and Spend Less” and “30 Day Makeover Inside and Out”

Lovely evening at A Time for Women on Thursday evening, March 10th at Autumn Ridge Church in Rochester, was enjoyed by many. Our speaker was Dr Lilia Ponton who shared “How my Christian Faith Made me a Better Doctor.” She shared how her close relationship with her grandparents during her childhood inspired her. As a board certified geriatrician working with older adults, she serves at Olmsted Medical Center’s as the Active Aging Services Medical Director. We also had a demo by Dawn Pruett where she shared how to “Make a Fidget Quilt”. This works well for someone with dementia or other cognitive impairment to keep their hands and minds busy. Dawn showed two design elements she used, a hexie flower & a yoyo.
