Happy To Forget the past Friday! Goood morning New Creatures in Christ.
THE BEST IS YET TO COME:
But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead, I press on towards the goal. Philippians 3:13-14

The urge to look back is a common experience; even more poignant is yearing for days that have passed us by. But althugh our past will cotain important lessons, experiences and people, the Apostle Paul introuduces a key instruction for living the Christian life: "One thing I do: forgettig what is behind and straining towards what is ahead, I press on towards the goal."

Paul doesn't deny the importantce of what has gone before-of of living well today-but he urges us to keep our eyes on what lies ahead. We know that no matter how good the days behind us may have been, as Christians our best days are always ahead of us. When we attain "to the resurrection from the dead" we will finally be in our true home, have bodies that won't wear out and enjoy an eternity in Jesus' wonderful presence. That is a prize worth straining ahead for.

THANK YOU, JESUS, THAT MY BEST DAYS LIE AHEAD OF ME, WHEN I WILL FINALLY SEE YOU FACE TO FACE AND KNOW THE COMPLETE FULFILMENT OF ALL YOUR PROMISES TO ME. AMEN

Daily Devotion:
Happy Trust The Good Shepherd Tuesday! Goood morning Sheep of His Pasture! John 10 is a beautiful declaration of the loving, sacrificial, and protective heart of JESUS CHRIST toward His sheep. Jesus does not merely call Himself a shepherd, but THE GOOD SHEPHERD! Unlike the hireling who runs when danger comes, Jesus willingly stands between His sheep and destruction. The heart of the Good Shepherd is revealed most perfectly at the CROSS, where He did not simply risk His life for the sheep, but He deliberately GAVE HIS LIFE for them! We were wandering sheep, lost in sin, unable to rescue ourselves and deserving of judgment, yet our Shepherd came searching for us. He took upon Himself the punishment that belonged to us, shed His precious blood for our redemption, and rose victoriously so that everyone who repents (accepts and receives) and follows Him might have everlasting life. What incredible LOVE! The sheep are secure not because they are strong enough to defeat the wolf, intelligent enough to know every path, or wise enough to understand every danger, but because they belong to the GOOD SHEPHERD! Sometimes we become frightened because we cannot see where the path is leading. We see valleys, enemies, uncertainty, disappointment, and circumstances beyond our control. Yet the Shepherd already knows the path! He walks before us, calls us by name, protects us, corrects us, feeds us through His Word, and lovingly leads us where we need to go. Our responsibility is not to know everything the Shepherd knows; our responsibility is to KNOW HIS VOICE AND FOLLOW HIM! Today, stop allowing the voices of fear, worry, temptation, or this world to drown out the voice of your Shepherd. Stay close to JESUS! Trust His direction even when you cannot understand the path. Remember, the One leading you is the very One who loved you enough to lay down His life for you. If He willingly gave Himself for your eternal soul, surely you can trust Him with the path He has chosen for you today. Follow closely, listen carefully, and rest confidently in the care of THE GOOD SHEPHERD. God so loves you... gary... John 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Happy Never Forgotten Friday! Gooood morning Children of God!

NEVER FORGOTTEN:
Though she may forget, I will ot forget you. Isaiah 40:15

We may experience memory lapses. In stark contrast, our Creator promises us that He remembers us and everything about us. In the hopeful words that God spoke through Isaiah, He affirmed to His people: "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!" God was responding to their accusation that He had forsaken and forgotten them. He assured them even further: See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands."

We can renew our hope in God with confidence, with His help holding onto His promises that He will always hold us in His mind and heart. He will never forget us. Never.

LOVING GOD, THANK YOU FOR KNOWING EVERYTHING ABOUT ME AND LOVING ME WHOLEHEARTEDLY. HELP ME TO PUT MY FULL TRUST IN YOU. AMEN

Daily Devotion:
Happy The Things God Has Prepared Thursday! Goood morning Loved of the Lord! 1 Corinthians 2 reveals the incredible wisdom of God that the natural mind could never discover on its own. Paul reminds us that God's plans, purposes, and promises are far greater than anything our human eyes can see, our ears can hear, or even our hearts can imagine. The world looks at circumstances and decides what is possible based upon what is visible, but FAITH looks beyond what is seen and trusts the God who already knows what He has prepared! What an incredible promise for those who LOVE HIM! This does not mean that God promises us a life without trials, disappointments, suffering, or waiting. Rather, it means that what God is accomplishing through JESUS CHRIST is infinitely greater than anything this temporary world could ever offer us. The greatest fulfillment of this promise is found in the Gospel itself. Who could have imagined that the Son of God would leave the glory of Heaven, take upon Himself flesh, bear our sins upon the cross, rise victoriously from the grave, and prepare an eternal home for everyone who receives Him by faith? Yet even now, God is working in ways we cannot always see or understand. Sometimes we look at our lives and wonder, "Lord, what are You doing?" We see the closed door, the unanswered prayer, the unexpected trial, or the long season of waiting, but God sees what He has PREPARED! Our limited vision sees today; God sees eternity. Our ears hear the voices around us; God has already spoken His promises. Our hearts imagine what might happen; God already knows what He has prepared! Today, let us refuse to measure God's goodness by what our eyes presently see. Let us LOVE HIM, TRUST HIM, FOLLOW HIM, and patiently wait upon Him, knowing that His wisdom exceeds our understanding and His plans extend far beyond our imagination. There are things God is doing that we cannot see yet! There are purposes being accomplished that we do not understand yet! And ultimately there is an eternal glory awaiting every redeemed child of God that no human mind can fully comprehend. Let's keep walking by FAITH and not by sight! God has already gone before us, and what He has prepared is greater than anything we could ever imagine. God so loves you... gary...

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Happy Where We Are There He Is Wednesday! Goood morning Watched By God!
DESERT PLACES:
The Lord....has watched over your journey through this vast wilderness. Deuteronomy 2:7

It's is in the hard places of sorrow, loss and pain that God helps us to grow in our faith and become closer to Him. "The desert is not an oversight in God's plan but an integral part of (our) growth process."

God led many Old Testament parriarchs to the desert. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob all had wilderness experiences. It was in the desert that God prepared Moses' heart and called him to lead His people out of slavery. And it was in the desert that God "watched over(the Israelites') journey" for forty years with His help and guidance.

God was with Moses and the Israelites each step of their way through the desert, and He's with you and me in ours. In the desert, we learn to rely on God. There He meets us-and there we grow.

DEAR GOD, THANK YOU FOR BEING WITH ME IN THE DIFFICULT DESERT EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE. YOU'RE FAITHFUL AND COMPASSIONATE. AMEN

Happy Confident In Christ Tuesday! Goood morning God's Work In Progress! Philippians 1 reminds us that our confidence is not in our own ability to finish what God has started, but in the faithfulness and Power of the Lord who works within us. Paul was confident that the same God who called us, saved us, and began transforming our hearts will continue His work until the day of Jesus Christ. We may stumble, struggle, become discouraged, or wonder why God has not finished changing us yet, but His Grace is still working! We do not lean on our own strength or understanding, but continually repent and surrender ourselves to the Holy Spirit, trusting Him to mold us into the image of JESUS. Today, may we confidently allow God to continue the work He has begun in us, knowing that He has not abandoned His purpose or forgotten His promises. What God begins, He is faithful to complete! Keep yielding, keep believing, keep following, and keep your eyes upon JESUS! God is still working in you... God so loves you... gary... Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Happy My God Made Me New Monday! Gooood morning Sons and Daughters of God!
WALKING ANEW:
Now you are the people of God. 1 Peter 2:10

Imagine a small picture of how our heavenly father sees us-not in our old life but now, in Christ as His children. "Ye to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,"wrote John.

What a loving perspective! So Paul reminded new believers that once "you were dead in your transgressions and sins." But in fact, "we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

In this way, Peter wrote, we are "a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy naltion, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light," and we are now "the people of God." Through God's eyes, our old path has not claim us. Let's see ourselves as God does-and walk anew.

ON THIS NEW DAY, DEAR FATHER, PLEASE INSPIRE ME WITH YOUR VIEW OF ME. AMEN!

Daily Devotion:
Happy Love Which Lays Down Self Wednesday! Goood morning Children of the Love of God. First John 3 reveals the incredible difference between merely speaking of love and truly knowing the Love of God through Jesus Christ. The world may define love by feelings, words, or what it receives, but God has revealed what true love is by what Jesus gave! We know the love of God because Christ willingly laid down His life for us. We were sinners deserving judgment, yet Jesus did not merely tell us that He loved us, He demonstrated His love upon the Cross by giving His own life that we might live through Him! What an incredible measure of Love! This same love that saved us should now flow through us. If Christ laid down His life for us, then we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren, not merely loving in word, but in deed and in truth. Today, may we look upon JESUS and remember the price of His Love! May His sacrifice humble us, His Blood cleanse us from all sin, and His Spirit teach us to love others sacrificially as He has loved us. We love because we have first been shown what Love truly is at Calvary. Let us not hold tightly to ourselves, but surrender our lives to the One who surrendered His life for us! Greater love has no man than this... gary...1 John 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

Happy Truth Told By The Son of God Tuesday! Goood morning born of the Spirit. Nowhere is there a clearer Gospel message spelled out that John 3, when Nicodemus of the Pharisees comes to Jesus by night. He comes in darkness to the Light of God, Jesus. Jesus reveals who He is and what He must do to atone for all man's sins. Jesus very name declares the need to believe in God for Salvation. Like Nicodemus, we all must come out of the darkness into the Truth of God to see our sin and the payment for it, which is only revealed by being born into the Holy Spirit! He reveals who Jesus is and the love of God to send Him to save an already condemn people who have rejected God! Today, let's not stay in rebellion and darkness, but come to the One who must increase and be glorified. May His Light Shine brightly upon our soul and His Blood wash us from all iniquity as we immerse ourselves in the Holy Spirit. God so loves the world... gary... John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Daily Devotion:
Happy Made Strong by His Grace Monday! Goood morning Children of the Most High God. 2 Corinthians 12 reveals a powerful truth that often runs contrary to the way we think. Paul had experienced incredible revelations from God, yet the Lord allowed a thorn in his flesh that continually reminded him of his own weakness and his complete dependence upon God. Three times Paul pleaded with the Lord to remove it, but instead of removing the weakness, Jesus gave him something greater, sufficient grace in the midst of it. The Lord declared, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” What an incredible promise! We often pray for God to remove the struggle, change the circumstance, heal the hurt, open the door, or take away the thing that makes us feel weak. Yet sometimes God's answer is not to remove what makes us weak, but to reveal His strength through our weakness. Our weakness does not limit the power of Christ! It gives us opportunity to stop trusting ourselves and rest completely upon Him. Paul therefore learned that he could even glory in his infirmities, because when his own strength was exhausted, the power of Christ rested upon him. Today, do not become discouraged because you feel weak or because God has not yet removed the burden you have prayed about. Bring it before Him, trust His wisdom, and rest in the grace He has already promised you. You do not have to be strong enough for everything you face, Jesus is! His grace is sufficient for today, His strength is greater than your weakness, and His power is perfected when we surrender ourselves completely to Him. God so loves you ...gary ... 2 Corinthians 12:9 “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
