Opening Prayer

Mother’s Day — “She Who Carries the World”

Father, in the name of Jesus, we enter this moment with gratitude, honor, and reverence. Thank You for the gift of mothers — biological, spiritual, adoptive, and chosen — women who carry the world in their hearts, their hands, and their prayers.

Today, Lord, we ask You to breathe strength into every woman who has ever stood in the gap, wiped a tear, spoken life, or held a family together when the weight felt too heavy. Crown them with fresh oil. Cover them with Your peace.
Clothe them with Your joy.

Let this service be a sanctuary of healing, celebration, and honor.
Let every woman feel seen, valued, and uplifted.
Let every mother know that Heaven has recorded her sacrifices, her intercession, and her love.

Holy Spirit, move through this place.
Let Your presence rest on every heart.
And let today be a reminder that those who carry the world never carry it alone — for You carry them.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Grace and peace to you, beloved.

Today, we pause to honor a mantle that Heaven itself respects — the mantle of Motherhood. Not merely the biological act of giving birth, but the spiritual assignment of carrying life, shaping destiny, and nurturing purpose. Today, we honor every woman who carries the world in her hands, her heart, her prayers, and her sacrifice.

Some carried us in their womb.
Some carried us in their spirit.
Some carried us through their wisdom, their correction, their intercession, and their unwavering love.

Mothers are God’s first prophets.
Before we learned Scripture, we learned their voice.
Before we knew God’s protection, we knew their arms.
Before we understood purpose, we were shaped by their prayers.

And today, we honor not only the mothers who birthed us, but the wives who build with us — the women who stand beside us in covenant, who carry the weight of tomorrow with the same grace our mothers carried yesterday. One gave us life; the other helps us build legacy. One shaped the man; the other shapes the future.

To every mother, every wife, every grandmother, every guardian, every spiritual mother, every woman who nurtures life in any form — we honor you.

You are the heartbeat of the home.
You are the rhythm of the family.
You are the quiet strength behind every victory.
You are the intercessor who keeps the heavens open over your house.

Scripture declares:
“Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.” — Proverbs 31:28

Today, we arise.
Today, we bless you.
Today, we speak life over you.

May the God who entrusted you with so much grace refill you.
May the God who strengthened you in private reward you in public.
May the God who saw every tear honor every seed you’ve sown.

To every woman who carries the world —
We see you.
We thank you.
We celebrate you.
We honor you.

🌷 Closing Prayer

Mother’s Day — “She Who Carries the World”

Father, we thank You for this sacred time of honor and reflection.
Thank You for every woman who has poured out strength, wisdom, and love.
Thank You for the mothers who shaped us, the wives who walk beside us, and the women who nurture destiny in silence and in strength.

Now, Lord, replenish what they have poured out.
Restore what life has drained.
Revive what burdens have tried to bury.
Reward what only You saw them carry.

Let Your favor surround them like a shield.
Let Your joy rise in them like morning light.
Let Your peace settle in their spirits like a gentle river.

And as we leave this place, let every woman walk knowing she is honored, she is valued, she is needed, and she is loved — not only by us, but by the God who trusted her to carry the world.

In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

A Heartfelt Thank You

Where do I even start saying thank you to everyone who celebrated me on my birthday yesterday. I think folks forget that my wife and I are retired now — because the phone started ringing around 7 AM with people saying, “Happy Birthday Daddy… Happy Birthday Bishop… did we wake you up?” Nah, lol — but y’all definitely made sure I was up.

I have to give a special thank you to Sister Valerie, who didn’t just wish me a happy birthday — she said, “I’m going to Zelle you money for breakfast, lunch, or dinner… it’s on me.” Ahh, that blessed me.

So me and my wife went out to breakfast, and when we finished she said, “Let’s go to the DMV so I can renew my license.” Two and a half hours later we finally walked out of there. It’s still my birthday, and she says, “Let’s go to the Post Office to check on our passports.” That was a breeze compared to the DMV.

On the way home I stopped at Starbucks for a coffee — and it ended up being free because they remembered my birthday. Look at God.

And to top it off, my daughters, my son‑in‑law, and my wife took me out to dinner, and I chose Charlie’s. A simple choice for a simple man who is grateful for every blessing.

So from my heart — thank you to everyone who called, texted, posted, prayed, or thought of me. I appreciate every single one of you.

Thank you, and God bless.
