Rochester Relief Society, along with the Primary children and friends from the community, gathered this week in a spirit of service to support the Migrant Education Program. Together, they donated, assembled and stuffed 160 backpacks with school supplies to help local migrant students prepare for the school year.

The event combined service with community connection. Participants enjoyed a luncheon, crafts, and fun activities, fostering unity while making a meaningful impact. Primary children and leaders also sang and visited with residents at The Landing of Brighton.

This is a small way we can give back! We hope children will feel prepared and confident as they head into the new school year.
The donated backpacks will be distributed by the Migrant Education Program to children in need throughout the region.

The youth of the Rochester 4th Ward have been working hard to host a community 5K fundraiser for their upcoming youth camps—please grab a friend and consider joining us for a 5K run and walk on Saturday, June 1st at 9:00am! The kid fun run (1 mile) will also begin at 10:00am!

Who: All stake members and friends at our work, school and community!
What: 5k and 1 Mile kid run, pancake breakfast to follow all races in the cultural hall of the stake center.
When: Saturday, June 1st, 2024 (5K is at 9:00am; 1 mile Kid Run is at 10:00am)
Where: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints stake center (1400 Westfall Road, Rochester, NY, 14618)
Cost: $20 registration for the 5K; $10 registration for the 1 mile Kid Run. Family $40.

The race will start at our 1400 Westfall stake center building and will continue on the Brickyard trail that is just west of our building—and a delicious pancake breakfast will follow all the races!

Help our amazing youth fundraise for their upcoming youth camp by inviting your neighbors, coworkers and classmates to participate, as this 5K is open to the community.

Join us in Kirtland, Ohio on June 14th and 15th for the Kirtland Heritage 5K and 1 mile walk! In addition to the race, there will be concerts (Nashville Tribute Band), devotionals (Hank Smith and ThePianoGuys) and other special events. Join us next Sunday at 6pm for a Worldwide Relief Society devotional where sisters 18 and older will gather at the Stake Center on 1400 Westfall Road to watch the worldwide broadcast together and hold a testimony meeting afterward.

President Russell M. Nelson and the Relief Society General Presidency President Camille N. Johnson, Sister J. Anette Dennis, and Sister Kristin M. Yee will speak to women during a worldwide Relief Society devotional on Sunday, March 17, 2024.

The devotional will commemorate the purpose and founding of the Relief Society, one of the largest and oldest operating women’s organization in the world, which took place on March 17, 1842. Light refreshments will be provided.

“Come prepared to be spiritually fed, share and listen to testimonies and mingle with sisters from our stake.”

We are getting so excited about our upcoming Stake Conference this weekend! Join us this coming Saturday & Sunday, March 2nd & 3rd. Visitors are welcome.

Saturday, March 2nd, Stake Adult Session:

6:00pm - 7:30pm / Stake Center Chapel or via Zoom link

(Zoom link will be provided to Bishops/Branch Presidents to give to members by their discretion)

Sunday, March 3rd

10:00am - 12:00pm / Stake Center Chapel or via Zoom link

In addition to these meetings and piggybacking off the time-honored tradition of the Warsaw Branch, we are inviting all to join us after the Sunday conference meeting to attend a tailgating event starting at 12pm in the parking lot.

Bring a dish to share and keep all activities and food outside in the parking lot, so we don't have to worry about any cleanup inside the church building.

We look forward to seeing you all at our upcoming conference and fellowshipping together as Latter-day Saints in Western New York.

Join us for an in-person workshop series on the Articles of Faith, Sundays at 7:00pm at the stake center on 1400 Westfall Road!

This workshop series began the first Sunday in February and continues for three months. Youth are also invited to come and participate with a short "ask anything" session a half-hour before the workshop begins (ideally for new members and friends). See attached flyer for more info.
