It was such a meaningful celebration at Ascension yesterday for our Acolytes!
The day’s sermon was based on the call of Abram who was called by God to leave his homeland trusting God’s promise and journey with faith with openness. Abram story reminds how his life journey was intertwined with migration, transitions and willingness to encounter foreigners, strangers and new possibilities. Throughout the scripture we see the Spirit of God encounters people who are in transitions, and becomes the welcoming agency of God to connect all without any prejudice and judgment, in imagining a blessed community. Let us bless “the others” to be blessed by God! Amen!
The Acolytes, Dave Pomeroy, Kevin Gall, Tim Copenhagen, Moo Leah, Kpru , Ice Juice, Jero, Sachin John, Essa, Alfina Joyce, Gay wah, Ek Ka, Henry, Malcom, shared their witnesses! Kathy Kohler and Sally deserve our appreciation for their leadership. The entire congregation prayer and wished the acolytes for their selfless service! TBTG!
