Tonight we had the honor of welcoming about 40 of our neighbors and friends to our mosque for a special evening of learning, conversation, and breaking bread together.
We are truly grateful to everyone who accepted our invitation and took the time to come, ask questions, and learn a little more about Islam, Ramadan, and the spirit of community that brings us together.
Moments like this remind us that understanding grows when people meet face to face, listen with open hearts, and share space as neighbors.
We also want to take a moment to thank those who have stood with us and supported our community during difficult times, especially when we have felt misunderstood or unfairly targeted. Your solidarity, kindness, and willingness to stand beside us mean more than words can express.
The Prophet Muhammad Peace and Blessings be Upon him, taught us a powerful lesson about gratitude:
"مَنْ لَا يَشْكُرُ النَّاسَ لَا يَشْكُرُ اللَّهَ"
"Whoever does not thank people has not truly thanked God."
— Reported in Sunan al-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud
So tonight we say sincerely: thank you.
Thank you for being good neighbors.
Thank you for your curiosity and openness.
Thank you for choosing understanding over division.
We hope everyone who joined us learned a thing or two about Islam and about the Muslim neighbors who live beside you.
And for those who could not attend — our mosque doors are always open. We look forward to welcoming many more of our neighbors in the future.
Together, we build stronger community!
