Temple Beth Am Temple Beth Am is a small Conservative congregation which is independent of, but meets in the educational wing of Temple B'rith Kodesh in Rochester, NY

Temple Beth Am is a small Conservative congregation which, since its inception in 1960, has been affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. Our founding members wanted a different type of Conservative synagogue.

Temple Beth Am is in the process of merging with Temple Beth El, 139 S. Winton Rd. Rochester, NY.

Friday evening services are at 6 pm in the Temple Beth El chapel. Saturday morning services are in the main sanctuary at Temple Beth El.

While details are still being worked out, some services will be held with Cong. Beth Hamedresh Beth Israel or Temple Beth David, both also located at 139 Winton Rd. S.

If you are in town this weekend and at a loss for something to do over the long holiday break please join us at six pm on Friday for our fourth Friday Shabbat dinner. It is a potluck dinner, but you could bring in a challah, parve dessert from Malach's, or fruit. Chase away the winter, or approach to winter malaise with our Temple Beth Am family.

Temple Beth Am joins our community in extending our thoughts to the families of victims of the tragic shooting in Pittsburgh. May we take comfort in our shared values and show courage in denouncing the hatred which fueled this vile slaughter.

Please join us on August 24, 6pm for our fourth Friday Shabbat community dinner. It is a partial pot luck dairy dinner, so all items should be either dairy or parve. Pizza and cake as well as a gluten free alternative will be provided. We request that strawberry dishes be avoided, due to the strong allergies of one of our members.
