Twelve Corners Presbyterian Church

Twelve Corners Presbyterian Church TCPC's purpose is to enrich the lives of its members by offering hope, support, and a warm welcome.

We are a welcoming and inclusive congregation in Brighton, NY that seeks to fill our members with love and compassion from Christ, and embrace everyone who walks through our doors, regardless of who they are or where they come from. We recognize that we are all on different paths of faith and that everyone is at a different place in their spiritual journey. God’s love is for everyone, and we welco

me all people with open arms. Our church is also a place where you can connect with other people who are seeking to live out their faith. We have a range of programs, events, and opportunities for people who want to serve in the community. We believe that by working together, we can be a force for good in the world.

On Wednesday, May 27th, TCPC Women’s Association enjoyed a “Burger” birthday party for our Pastor, Rev. Jeff. We shared recent stories that provided inspirational thoughts. The group provided salads and enjoyed cake and ice cream. We enjoyed singing to our Pastor. Thanks to everyone who shared their talents and provided support to TCPC Women’s Association. AI is rapidly changing the way we live, work, and interact with one another. That's a given.

But who shapes the values embedded within these technologies? What happens when we assume they are completely objective?

In this week's blog, Rev. Jeff Fox-Kline continues his reflections on insights from Pope Leo's Magnifica Humanitas, exploring the ethical questions surrounding AI, bias, human dignity, and the common good.

I’m still slowly paging through Pope Leo’s encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas, and am grateful to the Pope for providing this resource for how we (not just Catholics or Christians, but people who seek the common good) can think about the accelerating influence of AI on our culture. One observation t...

On Wednesday, May 20th, 17 people from the Presbytery of Genesee Valley came together at TCPC for a lunch and learn. The pizza was delicious and the conversation was informative. The presentation was about church finances, presented by the Presbytery Financial Administrator, Executive Presbyter, and the Presbytery's Treasurer. Twelve Corners was well-represented and we are grateful to the Presbytery for offering these opportunities to learn and grow.

Acts 12:13-14 When he knocked at the outer gate, a maid named Rhoda came to answer. On recognizing Peter's voice, she was so overjoyed that, instead of opening the gate, she ran in and announced that Peter was standing at the gate.

Come be part of our community this Sunday at 10:00 a.m. for a meaningful time of worship and reflection. All are welcome.

In this week’s blog, Rev. Jeff Fox-Kline reflects on Pope Leo XIV’s new encyclical, “Magnifica Humanitas: On Safeguarding the Human Person in the Time of Artificial Intelligence."

🎶❤️ A Note From Our Director of Music 🎶❤️

Our Music Appreciation Sunday on May 10th was a beautiful reminder of what we can create together when we bring our gifts and show up with open hearts.

To our choir and handbell choir - thank you for your dedication, your rehearsal hours, and your willingness to share your voices and your artistry in worship. To our featured musicians - your contributions added so much richness to the day. To our church staff, whose behind-the-scenes work makes everything possible - none of this happens without you! And to our congregation - your presence, your singing, and your spirit complete the circle.

Music Sunday belongs to all of us. It has been a joy and a privilege to serve as your Music Director this year, and I am deeply grateful for the loving community we create together.

Thank you!
Blessings and peace,
Ivanka
