Reminiscing with grateful hearts 🤍

We were incredibly honored to have had Dr. Joseph Mattera as our guest speaker at the Make Us One Conference here in Rochester. As a leading voice in the global church, Dr. Mattera’s ministry emphasizes the importance of Kingdom principles that transcend traditional ideas of unity, encouraging us to strive for deep alignment with God’s heart and purpose. Throughout the conference, he had us all with open hearts, absorbing profound principles on how we can reflect Christ in every area of life.

With over 40 years of ministry experience, Dr. Mattera is a theologian, author, and cultural leader, passionate about equipping the church to engage in societal transformation. He leads the US Coalition of Apostolic Leaders and has impacted leaders in spheres such as government, business, and education. As the founding pastor of Resurrection Church in Brooklyn, NY, his teachings resonate deeply with those seeking to bridge the gap between faith and culture.

During the conference, Dr. Mattera powerfully spoke about advancing God’s Kingdom. He reminded us that oneness is an integral part of fulfilling this mission, but his message also emphasized the importance of leadership, cultural engagement, and living out our shared calling in practical ways.

We are deeply grateful for the powerful presence of God during the Make Us One Conference last Saturday, where strategic prayers were lifted by men and women from different churches.

Without prayer, we would be without vision, for it is through prayer that God reveals His will and leads us forward. Proverbs 29:18 reminds us, “Where there is no vision, the people perish,” and prayer is the very channel through which we receive divine vision, guidance, and strength.

Coming together as one body in Christ to pray not only unifies us but also aligns our hearts with God’s purposes. As Jesus prayed in John 17:21: “that they may all be one, just as You, Father, are in me, and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You have sent Me.” This call to oneness was felt as prayers for healing, restoration, and revival filled the atmosphere.

We give special thanks to every pastor who led us in prayer, standing in faith and humility before the Lord. Each prayer was a declaration of God’s promises over His people, and we believe those prayers will continue to bear fruit.

As we move forward, let us remember the words of 1 Thessalonians 5:17, “Pray without ceasing.” The prayers we prayed together are just the beginning. May we continue in prayer, both individually and corporately, for the work God is doing in and through us. Together, we seek His vision for unity, healing, and revival.

It wasn’t a marriage conference, yet we noticed so many couples there. 💑 Perhaps they know the secret to unity—the same unity that binds the Bride of Christ. The Make Us One Conference reminded us of the power found in oneness, not just in marriage but in the body of Christ. 💒🕊️

Just as Christ-minded couples seek unity and harmony in their relationships, so too must we, as the Church, strive for unity in our faith journey. ‘Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called.’ (Ephesians 4:3-4) There is something truly powerful when we come together, embracing our differences and becoming one in Christ.
