The Prophet (PBUH) said, "He who does not thank people does not thank Allah."
لاَ يَشْكُرُ اللَّهَ مَنْ لاَ يَشْكُرُ النَّاسَ.‏

At the end of last year, I pointed out the exterior condition of Masjed Abubakr Al-Seddiq Rochester, MN, which urgently needed attention. At the very least, the public outcry such postings generated played a significant role in expediting and energizing the subsequent renovation work, if not actually causing the project's initiation. In any case, I am happy to share that the exterior work on the building was completed this past summer and the building looks newer now. It is also more structurally safe and sound. In addition, many areas in the interior are updated, including installation of new doors and carpet flooring in the musalla areas. The people behind this great work should not go unpraised. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this project, even if they contributed a simple statement of truth. I would like to especially thank those who spearheaded the project, including Imam Asad Zaman and the board of MAAS. Please note that, at the end of the day, what matters to the congregation is not the individual identities and places of residence of board members. What matters is the soundness of the facility and the services they find therein. Many in the community I interacted with are actually starting to believe that there maybe some wisdom behind the board's anonymity and distance. We ask Allah to reward you for all your efforts. جزاكم الله خيراً

وَإِلَىٰ مَدْيَنَ أَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْبًۭا ۗ قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَـٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥ ۖ قَدْ جَآءَتْكُم بَيِّنَةٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ ۖ فَأَوْفُوا۟ ٱلْكَيْلَ وَٱلْمِيزَانَ وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشْيَآءَهُمْ وَلَا تُفْسِدُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بَعْدَ إِصْلَـٰحِهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

And to [the people of] Madyan [We sent] their brother Shu’ayb. He said, “O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him. There has come to you clear evidence from your Lord. So fulfill the measure and weight and do not deprive people of their due and cause not corruption upon the earth after its reformation. That is better for you, if you should be believers.

I would like to highly recommend this service to all my friends. The brother that provides this service is knowledgeable, professional, trustworthy and strives to provide effective care. His price is hard to beat, $45 for cupping/Hijamah done by a trained medical professional. It is at least $100 elsewhere. Please call or text him at 507-398-2904.

Remember that cupping has many benefits, and it is part of the sunnah.

Jabir (RA) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If there is any healing in your medicines then it is a cupping operation, or branding (cauterization), but I do not like to be (cauterized) branded."

Back to da’wah work: I was entrusted with the role of Imam at Salaama Mosque مسجد سلامه for the rest of the summer. On Fridays, starting next week, right after each Friday prayer, we will have meet, greet, and eat together sessions. Pizza and beverages will be served, in shaa Allah. There is an area for sisters. Please join us.

P.S. This is a voluntary role, and I will continue work in my normal profession to earn a living during this time.
