Even the best crafted arrows are useless with a broken bow. The best intentions are nothing until we follow through with them. As we move through Psalm 78 tomorrow we will see what happens when God's people polietly refuse God's call.

If you are in town tomorrow we hope you join us.

The RCC Board meets at church tonight, and Susan is opening her home from 7–8pm for anyone who wants to gather and pray for them while they work.

No agenda. No prep. Just an hour of sitting together asking God to lead the people leading us.

Come if you can.

Last week we built garden boxes at Family Promise, Walked for water (more than $2,500 raised!), discussed faith together, and end it at all sitting at the feet of our Confirmation Students.

Thank you to ALL the parts of the body and the God that makes it all happen.

This week lets be ready for what God has next!

Men's Breakfast Wednesday 8am
Worship Sunday 10am (no Discipleship Hour this week).

And a heads up β€” Kids & Youth DH and Wednesday Nights are wrapped for the season. Summer plans coming soon.

Quick one for the weekend: our RCC team is walking together for Walk for Water Saturday morning, 8:45am.

Two ways to help β€” show up and walk with us (no advance signup needed), or donate from wherever you are and help us hit our goal. Both are real ways to be part of it.

Details on our team page:

With World Vision’s Global 6K, you can join me and thousands of others, walking, running, or rolling to bring clean water to children in need. Now more than ever, clean water is essential to protect vulnerable children and families. Will you join us? worldvision6k.org

Sunday's sermon landed on a quiet, hard question: who in your life needs to know you will bear with them? Not fix them. Not advise them. Just stay.

Tonight at 6pm: every generation of RCC is going to be at the Family Promise Rochester Promise House (1621 10th St SE). Working adults and families building garden beds and picnic tables. Our youth planting flowers with the kids. Six weeks into a series called From Generation to Generation, and here we are, all of us, in one place, working on the same yard.

Bring tools, work gloves, and extra smiles. RSVP Jeff Thompson if you can.

Yesterday we sat with the section of Psalm 78 where Israel keeps demanding more and God keeps keeping the door open. The whole sermon turned on one Hebrew word that rhymes with "womb" and on Hosea's picture of God as a mother who lifts a child to her cheek and bends down to feed.

We have been borne with. The question for the week: who in your life needs to know you are willing to bear with them?

This week at RCC:
β€’ Workday at the church β€” Wednesday, 9–11:30am
β€’ All-church night at Family Promise β€” Wednesday, 6–7pm. Adults, families, and youth, all in one place. Garden beds, picnic tables, and flowers with the FP kids. RSVP Jeff Thompson.
β€’ Walk for Water β€” Saturday, 8:45am
β€’ Confirmation Sunday β€” May 17
