Pondering Christmas this morning. Why did God's only Son come to this earth? To reconcile us to Himself. But what does that mean?

You’ve probably heard this Scripture: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life.”

When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are reconciled to God and you’re immediately forgiven of our sin (that we inherited when we were born), and rather than being on a track toward spiritual death and hell, we are filled with God’s Holy Spirit, and you become a new creature in Christ, which means that He is IN us!

What a miracle!

And that is what Christmas is all about! The miracle, that God can transform us from the domain of darkness into the kingdom of light! That we are instantly a NEW creature in Christ!

Good morning everyone! As the festive lights twinkle and the world gets wrapped up in the glitz of the season, let's take a moment to remember what Christmas truly signifies. It's more than just the jingles, the tinsel, and the rush to find the perfect gift. This Christmas, let's reflect on the profound words from Philippians 2:10-11: 'that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.' These words remind us of the deep reverence and awe that Christmas deserves. In a world constantly chasing the next big sale or the latest holiday trend, let's pause and consider the humble beginnings of this holy day - a day that marks the birth of Jesus Christ, our Savior. It's a time for gratitude, for prayer, and for acknowledging the true King. Let it be a gentle reminder to us all. Let's bow our hearts in gratitude and recognize the sacredness of this season. It's a time to cherish peace, spread love, and celebrate the greatest gift ever given to humanity.
Let's reclaim the true spirit of Christmas - a season of giving, of humble reflection, and of honoring the birth of Jesus, who came to bring hope and light into our world.
