Holy Redeemer

Holy Redeemer Magnifying Jesus Christ in Word, Sacrament and Spirit. • Joining Jesus Christ in the renewal of al or Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m.—as we magnify Jesus Christ.

Holy Redeemer inhabits a unique crossroads, where reverence for God’s presence in ancient Christian worship and prayer intersects expectation of the Holy Spirit’s activity in praise, edification and healing…where sacramental and contemporary forms of worship converge with a deep passion for Holy Scripture, sound biblical teaching, evangelical witness and the spiritual gifts and signs that accompan

y the gospel. Such a church may seem impossible, but we invite you to come and see for yourself how these diverse worship practices and boldly-held convictions meet in one joyful and holy place. Please consider joining us this weekend—on Saturday evening at 5 p.m. This Facebook "fan" page is dedicated to the unique community of Holy Redeemer, its members and friends...past, present, and future.

Next Wednesday, February 18, the global church will enter the great fast we call Lent. Lent is not a preparation for punishment or a time for unhealthy introspection but forty days to intentionally forget ourselves as we learn to serve our neighbor. Lent is preparation for resurrection. As Rachel Tanner reminds us, “Lent is when together we draw closer to our resurrected selves.”

All are welcome to a special service that begins the great fast at 7 p.m. Together we will receive a mark of ashes on our foreheads to remember we will one day die, enter the joy of repentance so we can better serve others, and wait for the unquenchable light of Easter.
