St. Luke's United Methodist Church has an active membership of app

roximately 300 people from Rochester Hills and surrounding communities. We are a racially and ethnically mixed congregation consisting of persons from many areas of the United States and other countries. Luke’s United Methodist Church was established in northeast Pontiac in 1934. The congregation moved to its present location on Walton Blvd. The original church building at our current location in Rochester Hills comprised what is now our Fellowship Hall (essentially the middle part of the building). The present worship space, offices and gathering area were built in 1995. The education wing was built in 1998. In December 1998, St. Luke's merged with Rochester Hills First United Methodist Church. Rochester Hills First United Methodist was established in 1931 as the Elmwood Community Methodist Episcopal Church. Its first building was on Grant Street. Its second location was on Crooks (just south of M-59). In 1984, the church moved to Adams Road.

We are planning an impromptu music gathering for this Wednesday, July 28th from 7pm to 8:30 pm in the church sanctuary.

Everyone is invited, whether you'd love to sing, play an instrument or enjoy listening to music. The intent is to have FUN and to look at possibilities for providing special music and congregational hymns for worship as we move forward.
