📖 INQUIRER 101

Are you interested in learning what the process entails to become an Orthodox Christian and a parishioner at St. Mark?

If so, join Father John for a tour of the church, a brief tutorial, and a Q&A session on the first Sunday of the month at 12:15 PM, following the fellowship meal.

We’ll explore questions like:

⛪ How do I properly enter an Orthodox Church?

🕯️ What are the different services at St. Mark, and who can attend them?

☦️ Why do Orthodox Christians cross themselves?

🙏 What are relics? What is the purpose of icons?

ALL ARE WELCOME! ❤️

The sounds of Dormition. 🕯️☦️

08/12/2026

The Dormition of the Theotokos is one of the 12 Great Feasts of the Orthodox Church. We commemorate the peaceful falling asleep of the Mother of God.

The Dormition icon is on the western wall of our nave, and it proclaims that death is not the end and that God’s mercy restores us and can make us whole.
