May our churches and communities be places where people can speak honestly about mental health, where asking for help is met with compassion rather than judgment, and where we bear one another’s burdens in the love of Christ.
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.” John 1:5
September is National Su***de Prevention Month. "Su***de impacts people of all ages, especially youth and young adults. Pray for hope, relief from suffering and skilled, compassionate care for people who struggle with loneliness, depression and mental illness. Pray that they will find comfort and encouragement in knowing that God abandons no one. Ask God to bless and further the work of Lutheran Su***de Prevention Ministry and other organizations engaged in su***de awareness, education, collaboration and advocacy." —Prayer Ventures
