Yom Teruah~~ Day of Shouting and Trumpet Blasts! Not just another Feast Day~~a Wake Up Call! Throughout Scripture, the trumpet had significant functions and roles. It gathered, warned of danger, announced movement, called an assembly, prepared for battle, proclaimed the presence of the King. When the trumpet sounded, it was a call to pay attention! It was never just a sound to listen for in the past, but a call today to come into His presence, and a promise of what is to come.

And that is a question Yom Teruah places before us: ARE WE AWAKE? Have we become so attuned with the noise of this world that we no longer recognize the voice of Yahweh calling us? Have we been busy... but spiritually asleep? We must STAY AWAKE!

Hear His voice. Remain set apart. This is not just a reminder... it is a call to prepare. Be ready to answer when He calls. Watch. Guard your heart and mind. Pray. Stay connected to Yahweh. Walk in obedience daily. Share the sound. Wake the sleepers. Encourage others.

The trumpet call on Yom Teruah points to an even greater sound - the day when the King returns. "For the Master Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of Elohim..." HE IS COMING! May the sound remind us to return to Yahweh with our whole heart and live like people who are listening for their King. "Blessed are the people who know the festal trumpet-call!" Psalm 89:15. This year promises to be an excellent Feast for all of Yahweh’s people. Our theme this year is, “Yahweh is my Rock!”

We have a beautiful 80-acre campground, with marked spaces for tents with water and electricity, or full RV hook-ups! We will have daily services, food, and many activities planned for all! Camping is free, but donations are welcome! Make plans now to join us beginning the evening of September 26 through the last day, October 4, 2026! Come early if you can and help with preparations! Don’t forget to bring your contributions for the auction!

With the all-important New Moon of the seventh month coming up this weekend, we are providing below the link to a video by Brother Rich Lobert which was given at a Feast here several years ago. It is an excellent instructional video on how to sight a new moon crescent with or without software. He also presents a detailed description of how to use the program MoonCalc. A link to the updated app is also below. Also below that, is the link to his excellent website where he posts New Moon reports from around the world every month. The topics on the video include some new moon science, how to sight a new moon, how it was done centuries ago, what is being done currently, reasons for what is done, and “Halakha,” or “walking it out.” As Brother Lobert states, this presentation is of a religious nature, but also interesting for amateur astronomers.
