The oldest Disciples of Christ Church building in continuous use in the world. The congregation was started in the river town of Rocheport some 18 years after Lewis & Clark stopped here in 1804. The original building is still in use each Sunday morning.

Yesterday was an exciting, special and fun day for our church. Guest musicians, Bill and Susan McFarland, provided beautiful dulcimer music during the church service. Thirteen people became new members of the church. The church welcomed our pastor, Tim Carson, and his daughter, Savannah Carson, the Claridge family (Dawson, Sherri, Miles and Jude), Manda Riley and Kyle Cook, Tom and Ingrid Luckenbill, Brett Dufur, Everett Dufur, and Claire Keeler as new members. A delicious picnic followed the service at the church annex. The weather failed to cooperate for lawn games this year but maybe next year!!

Don’t forget the picnic tomorrow!! I’m not sure whether the weather is going to cooperate for lawn games but we can stay dry in the annex and enjoy some great food. We’ve even got some indoor activities if we need them!

Thursday night will be Maundy Thursday Service which will be a joint service with the Rocheport Christian Church and the Rocheport Methodist Church. Pastors Tim Carson and Ken Zahringer will lead the service. It will be a service of communion and reverence. Everyone is welcome!

Sunday is the Rocheport Christian Church’s Easter Service at 11:00 a.m. We hope you can join us!
