A quick reminder that the next Seven C's Day of Blessing is on May 16th (a week from tomorrow). As always, it's a great opportunity to receive prayer, clothing, hygiene products, and a home-cooked meal. It all happens at 401 N. Main St. in Rochelle at the Seven C's mission portion of Living Water Community Church.

Yet, we can often make assumptions about the basic understanding people have concerning God, scripture, and morality. It can be surprising to learn where people stand. Asking questions is truly the way to better determine where people are coming from.

Do we really understand how miraculous the prophetic expansion of God's kingdom and its fulfillment is? Daniel Chapter 2 is one of the strongest passages in all of scripture to the skeptic of the supernatural, as well as a booster of faith to the believer. The foretelling of future kingdoms and the precise time that the kingdom of God would arrive is astounding. Do we recognize how the King of the kingdom, Jesus, has called us to take part in the kingdom's expansion?

If you saw your neighbor's house on fire and noticed they were still in the house, oblivious to the inferno, would you stand by as imminent danger closed in on them? If not, then do you really believe that those who don't follow Jesus are spiritually in a burning home that is destined for eternal destruction? The good news of the kingdom of God was not meant to be a secret. The scriptures indicate that it is God's kindness that leads people to repentance, but they won't repent if they don't know their house is on fire.

Do you have (or do you speak with) children of the ages between 1st and 8th grade? Then this Sunday’s service (at 10 am) is for you and the kids you know. This interactive service will focus on evangelizing children and how children who follow Jesus can help lead the way in bringing the message of Christ to their peers. The purpose and the tools we're using are not designed to bring more to Living Water Community Church, but to bring more to Jesus and to create a culture of following Him as King.

Thanks be to God, Jesus is risen, and His death and resurrection wasn't solely for our forgiveness, but also paved the way to respond to the call to join God's kingdom. Contrary to the world's thinking, there are only 2 spiritual kingdoms, and the kingdom of darkness is filled with many, and sadly, some of those people think they are Christians because they don't thoroughly know God's word.

Many Christians miss how explicit the Old Testament scriptures are concerning the foretelling of Jesus' suffering and what He would ultimately accomplish on the cross. This was not a sudden decision by God, but was always the plan for our redemption. Do we daily thank Him for the sacrificial love He showed, which is the only means by which we are justified?
