Today marks the start of the beautiful Month-Long Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a special time when the whole Church turns its gaze to the infinite love and mercy of our Lord.

The Sacred Heart is not just a symbol. It is the burning love of Jesus for each one of us—a Heart that was pierced for our sins, yet continues to pour out grace, forgiveness, and compassion.

Throughout this month of June, let us:

🔸 Pray the Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart daily
🔸 Attend Mass or make a Holy Hour when possible
🔸 Practice small acts of love and reparation
🔸 Entrust our families, our nation, and the whole world to His merciful Heart

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I consecrate myself and my family to You today. Teach me to love as You love. Have mercy on us and on the whole world. Amen.

Today, May 21st, is the feast of St. Christopher Magallanes and Companions!

St. Christopher Magallanes and companions lived in Mexico in the early twentieth century under an anti-Catholic government.
Because the government had closed seminaries, churches, and schools, St. Christopher Magallanes and his fellow priests had to minister in secret. Christopher even secretly established a seminary in Jalisco.
Over 22 years, throughout 8 Mexican states, Christopher, 21 other diocesan priests, and 3 lay people were martyred by the government for their Catholicism.
His last words were “I am innocent and I die innocent. I forgive with all my heart those responsible for my death, and I ask God that the shedding of my blood serve the peace of our divided Mexico.”
The group of martyrs was beatified in 1992, and canonized by Pope St. John Paul II in 2000.
