Dear Disciples and Neighbors of St. Pauls,
Finding relief from life's demands can be difficult. The world may offer brief moments of rest, but lasting relief often seems out of reach. This weekend, you are invited to come and hear a different story: a story of God's grace, mercy, and peace that brings true relief to weary hearts.
For relief, we will hear scripture that beautifully proclaims the heart of both Hosea and Matthew:
God’s mercy reaches sinners, heals the broken, and calls people into His presence.
The path leading toward the cross reminds us that faith is not about our perfection, but about Christ’s invitation to follow Him.
The bread and cup reflect God’s daily provision, while the sunrise speaks of renewal, hope, and the promise of restoration.
For relief in daily living, faith encourages us to approach God honestly with our struggles and failures. Like Matthew the tax collector, we are called not because we are worthy, but because Christ is merciful.
When life leaves us wounded, discouraged, or burdened by sin, God’s Word reminds us: “I desire mercy, not sacrifice.” We live by trusting His grace rather than our achievements.
Each day, Christ calls us anew to receive His forgiveness, share His mercy with others, and walk in the hope that He heals, restores, and sends His people into the world with His love.
Come and join us and hear this relief.
Be blessed,
Pastor Nathan
